I guess yes. Competition generally helps many parts life like economy, school, and sports.
You really want to relive the tire war fiasco?
It didn't work in the '90's..... It won't work now... Hoosier was........ in comparison to Goodyear just a mom and pop outfit..... They were required to bring enough tires to outfit the complete field.... It was a losing proposition for them. Goodyear could stand the blow for as long as it took..... Hoosier couldn't..... Only a manufacturer like Firestone or the other major players... (I think Continental is the biggest player in the world)could ever have the deep pockets to contest them...... and..... It isn't going to happen......I guess yes. Competition generally helps many parts life like economy, school, and sports.
I had a set of Goodyear all terrain tires on the first truck I ever bought and they were JUNK. I hate it for nascar teams.

Be leavin' in a few minutes, riskin' life 'n limb by takin' a hundred mile run on I64 in my Goodyear shod station wagon.
Cheated death many times on this stretch of road since I had 'em installed.......................
The short answer is NO. But a purple Hoosier hat covered with red clay dust is waaaay cooler than anything that Goodyear has to offer.
^ Prolly needed a softer compound.
So we can see Hoosiers side walls fail after running tire pressures too low...too?
Kylie ... glad you're back. The first owner of said truck failed to rotate the tires every weekend
Kylie ... glad you're back.
