I see no way that they don't get this race in tonight. The rain is over and there doesn't appear to be anymore in the forecast. I'd assume they want to get this race in quite badly. They don't want to have two races postponed.

Booth guys discuss what they're told to discuss in a production meeting that happens hours or even days before the race starts. If Fox or any other network covered the last half of the season, they'd do the same thing.
