Xfinity RACE thread --- Daytona

What cup team do YOU own? You literally have the opposite opinion so yours is as good as mine.
Well, Ross just said it isn't going to help him....so I mean, it's pretty much common sense that owners don't want their cars wrecking each other. That really shouldn't need to be explained. PM me if you need further details. I can even draw you a picture

That was NOT the right spot on the track to go for it. Clearly
It was his only shot in the last turn on the final lap. He’s not gonna settle for second, not even to a teammate. Chastain committed to the pass and AJ committed to the block. Thats a typical Daytona recipe for disaster.

I love Ross' aggression, I do man.

He's hungry because AJ and Haley have won, he hasn't. Dega is up next, I think he needs to take the charge to get up front and stay up front. Ross is extremely good at plate racing, he just has a tendency to time these moves at the worst times. Honestly, there is no good time on the last lap to make that move for the lead.

He's going to win at Dega, I have a feeling he will.

I don't imagine Ross is going to be very popular in the driver's meeting and in the fab shop come Monday

'Dinger doesn't seem to have much problem with it, so there's no reason anyone here should.
Allmendinger's taking this pretty well.
He’s not a full-time driver and doesn’t have a dog in the fight for 30 weeks. Why should he have a problem with it? He raced like a dick at the Daytona roval and he got the short end of this stick here. Glad he realizes that Chastain has bigger fish to fry than just trying to win a limited number of races.

Yeah, there was about a 2% chance of that working. I know nascar aren't math guys, but those ain't good odds.
Chastain took his only chance to make a pass for the lead and AJ blocked until he was wrecked. Clearly see Ross moving down until his tires were on the yellow lines and AJ kept blocking with a slower car.

Best performance IMO was Gray Gaulding. Kept it clean and ran smart.

His only chance? Lolz. They weren't coming off of 4 towards the stripe. Still had time to go for the win. There were literally two options right there, check up or wreck both yourself and your teammate. Blink of an eye, but he chose the latter

Lol all the Chastain apologists.

Can’t wait to hear the incessant bitching when Ricky Stenhouse pulls the same move tomorrow night. Hypocrisy at its finest.

For the record. I have no problem with any of it. It’s Daytona. They’re racing for the win. People have been crashing each other coming to the checkers since Petty and Pearson.

They were in the final turn of the race and that was the only run that Ross had for 10 laps. If he didn’t make it then, he had no help from behind as they were too spaced out and would have had to settle for second. A driver that settles for second in the feeder series will never have a long career.

Is that supposed to be an insult? I hope you realize that Ross had a run and AJ decided to commit to the late block and expected Ross to back off. Ross had two tires on the yellow line and AJ kept coming down. #10 cannot go any lower without driving off the track and the #16 is half a car width off the bottom mirror driving. If he doesn’t continue his late block, there is a solid chance it’s just a drag race to the finish.

Chastain's problem with this "I'm going to do whatever it takes to win" spiel is that it falls flat on it's face when you freakin wreck your teammate and blow a one two three finish.

sorry, but ross lost one of his biggest fans, you dont crash anyone at these high speed tracks,i was hoping he got a good ride, now i just dont care.
