I don't care who owns the cars but you do need cars with sponsors to make a race and the cup drivers have those sponsors. The people who pay for commercials etc know this and that is why they buy commercial time. Take out the cup drivers and you don't have any races for anybody.
Another point while I am addressing this most ridiculous complaint is tha the lesson Byron learned from Denny today is most beneficial in his learning curve. You never get better unless you are challenged by those much better than yourself. Besides the Xfinity drivers have their own point system.
So lets quit bitching about cup drivers in Xfinity, they are needed in a business sense.

Yes, they should all run out of their own pockets. Take away the cup teams, JGR 3 or 4
Penske 2 or 3
Childress 3 or 4
SHR 1
Not many cars left to race is there?

Kyle didn't do well even with Toy and JG backing. It takes serious money, just ask Harvick. Even Junior said 4 yrs ago it cost him 5 mil a year.

the arca race winner was a back marker today who spun out in the back, spun out last night also and wadded up some cars today. Not to be snarky, but most Arca and K&Ners, CARS never make it into the trucks much less Xfinity or cup.

I know I watch ARCA. Still if you take the cup drivers out you get a field similar to ARCA race with no names in it.

I am quite sure Byron will watch those last laps over and over again along with some smart people and he may find away to win because of that knowledge. How did Denny drag him back so he could win. I thought the kid played it very well but he lost so now he has to educate himself.
Maybe he did nothing wrong.

I just dont understand this mind set. How is it a joke when they receive points for where they finish. Now giving Byron 1st place points would be a joke. Cup drivers dont have an effect on these points, they get what they earned.
 
If you are full time in cup that is what you should be..full time in cup. If drivers want to learn something they should be allowed to race up...but never down.

I thought that was a rule, top 5 cars for interviews. Maybe it's not so for Xfinity series but should be.
Isn't Sadler a has been cup driver. LOL

I am quite sure his involvement helped the series otherwise they would have rules in place to prevent that.

So is the 22 car full time with sponsors that say who drives it. Lets just shut the team down. The Xfinity series is so great they can stand on their own two feet just like ARCA does.

and to go a little farther with it. They went to cup and "learned" that they aren't good enough to compete at the level. And to go a bit farther. They are good enough in Xfinity(leading the series) but guys who are better are taking away precious sponsor exposure, money and points right out of their mouths.

Bash. "Has Been" is derogatory. Fact is he was a cup driver and is now a top driver in the Xfinity series. A big difference. I happen to think Elliott Sadler is good for the sport.
