They really need to consider moving the choose cone back a bit. I don’t like that cars are having to play catch up at the back of the field before the restart. Most are probably cars that can’t do much anyway, but if a good good has to start at the back, they are at the mercy of the guys in front of them.

I totally would have gave NASCAR the bonehead award if cars went through that corner and started spinning. Another caution may cause chaos, but so possibly would going through all that fluid at full speed.

Stage 1 was 22 laps with a break at halfway so I'm not sure how many more laps they could have gone.

I'm pretty sure they did which is why I was questioning whether they could do much more than 11 laps
