Brad is all those things ,but he won't have sufficient factory support till next year. Even then , there will be at least a one year learning curve with the new brand , he should be a contender in 2014.

Huh? He was a contender last year and Dodge isn't going to abandon Penske this year. If Penske tanks this year, it makes it harder to attract teams. They'll also want to cut a deal with Roger to get some of his stuff over to the new Dodge team. Teams considering Dodge will also put a lot of weight on what Roger says about working with Dodge. I think they will be on their best behavior.

Just my opinion Fender . We won't know for a while.

Yeah, I know. Most of this is just opinion. But I was wondering what makes you think this...

"he won't have sufficient factory support till next year".

....is how it is. I just don't see any basis for Penske losing ANY factory support this year, so I was hoping you could enlighten me.

I don't believe that ANY manufacturer with just two or three cars on track can amass the amount of data that a manufacturer with twenty cars on track can . I think that the Ford and GM engineers amass far more info from all of their teams and feed back info .I believe that Penske will benefit from the info fed back to GM by all of their cars on track next year. This would be the reason that they are changing brands. In my humble opinion , there is strength in numbers .

All I can say is what I said before. Brad was a contender last year, and nothing has changed to indicate he wont be this year.

Wow, Robbie Gordon's ECU burned up and he's out of the race. At 25K a pop, those EFI systems should last a dozen races or more.

Okay , your feelings about Kurt Busch and Steve Addington aside....Last year Brad was #2 team ..he and his crew chief were never very far off the mark , but when they were , they could walk over to the other pit and ask a former champion for help. The knowledge that Addington and Busch brought to the table is gone. There is now NOONE to ask for help except a brand new teammate and Robby Gordon. Please Fender ...that can't be good.

I've been watching racing all my life and I still love the sounds of those engines screaming down the straight away into the turn.

Do we agree that FACTORY support won't be an issue?

Good point, if you only look at the surface. New guy, new CC usually lean on the veteran team. That wasn't always the case. Kurt himself talked about using the #2's setup at several races he and Steve were lost at. Brad had more wins and top 5's and year end position. Based on performance (running up front), Brad is having a much better start this year without Kurt than he had last year. I don't see ANY falloff. I see improvement.

It's going to be a long year. All we can do is wait and see how it plays itself out.

Biffle to the pole.

I have 1, 2, 3 and 4 right now. I'll enjoy it while it lasts.

1, 2, and 4. If Edwards blows his lap, I'll be sitting pretty.

Thank you Carl. I knew you wouldn't let me down. 13 Q points is pretty good.
Biffle, AJ, Newman and Jeff Gordon.

Is someone going to post the complete results? Or is there a link to them? I don't get Speed in this place.

I got boner points for Biffle and Newman (13). Other than that... *yawn*

OK so I have a tip for the old people on this forum. Young people ..look away . Look away ..I said ..Here is the tip NE beside one of your drivers means 'not entered ' ......my Mark Martin pick didn't get me any points . Can someone tell me how to drag over my back up?

Just grab him and overlay on another driver in the same catagory. When you see a check mark, let go and they switch.

Got it..thanks guys ...and thanks for not mentioning the other thing.

I made changes,feel strong with my b n c picks,but worried about both a divers [29 n 99].
