You have no right to arm bears.

4x, he looks armed and dangerous to me! LOL

Looks can be decieving. The Bears are 3-9 this year and will be 3-10 after tonights MNF game.

Poor Jim Miller....

I thought Urlacher was out tonight? Or have I been friendly with Arizona's TE?? :D

It's sad that my Bears are so pitiful. I long for those days when I used to go to Soldier Field and watch Sweetness do his thing. One more thing I miss is hearing the Bear's announcers on the radio. Is Butkus still working with them? When I moved down here, I wanted to become a raving Panther fan, but it just didn't work for me. I guess I'll be a dang Bear fan for the rest of my life. However, I certainly ain't no Cub fan. Gimme dos Sox! I love the southsiders.:)

Ya but those guys are ARMED bears. :p

And you're sticking with the BLACKSOX?

Hey, I wasn't around during that time. When I moved to the Quad Cities along the Mississippi River, I started watching the Cubs. They were perienial losers (still are) and I hated Jack Brickhouse, the announcer. I turned the TV to the other Chicago channel and began to watch the White Sox with Harry Carey and Jimmy Pearsol as the announcers. I loved those two and when Harry left for the Cubs, I stayed. BTW, when I was but a lad, I liked the Milwaukee Braves and the New York Yankees. My mother was a die hard Brooklyn Dodger fan. :)

Buckster, I grew up in Boston, Mom taught me how to score a game before I could read and when the Redsox were away, the Braves would play at Fenway! I hated it when the Braves moved to Milwakee!
Now that I live in the Atlanta area, I am loving the Braves again!

Red Sox, Braves in the World Series next year? Doubt it but I wouldn't know who to root for!

Don't feel to bad for the Bears. My beloved Vikings got hosed last night are no 3-10. We've lost 7 of them by less than one TD, and two games in ot. I don't know what to think, this is our 3rd losing season in my 27 years :(

Go figure my girlfriend is a darn Packer fan. Good thing we didn't talk on the phone last night :D I'm a huge sports fan, but as you can tell by my name, college sports come first :)

Milwaukee Braves, Brooklin Dodgers, don't date yourself or anything :) My second favorite team has always been the Cubbies. Pick em up on WGN with Harry Caray. Always thought he had the greatest commercials. There he'd be dancing around with budeweiser and surrounded by many beautiful women. The guy was some kind of cult hero :D

ya know, i am not sure what this world is coming to and it scares me. all these liberals out there trying little by little to control us more and more. it is amazing to me that the people dont see the trends that are and have been happening. these idiots run around cutting back on our rights little by little and convince people its a good idea. dont you see how big the govt is getting? oops, sorry bout that. it is just like on tv. look at nypd or other shows. coming out with a new cus word every season, showing nudity on a regular basis during prime time hours. its called desensitizing. we had better watch out what we stick up for. just because people take things to extremes to get their point across, doesnt mean we should just take their word for it. i believe a lot of people , evn here argue about things and dont even really know what they are saying. they are caught in the trap of just using info that the media and liberals supply for them. this is not good:headshake

I have a question. Could someone please tell me......... What is the true purpose of owning a gun such as an Uzi, an AK47, etc... which are both assault rifles by the general definition that has been posted on here and as the government has labeled them.

I can understand if someone has a gun collection, for the sole purpose of collecting guns. Other than that, as I asked above, what is the true purpose of owning one of these guns?

(This is an honest question)

My two cents worth...

No individual outside the military needs a fully automatic weapon. No one.

The problem lies here: Give these liberal crackpots an inch, and they take the entire country. A semi-automatic weapon is perfectly suitable for hunting. If you've never owned one, you wouldn't understand the difference. They do not fire like machine guns. Let the liberals outlaw the semis BASED SOLELY ON THE NOMENCLATURE OF THE WEAPON, and without realizing it we have given away one of our basic freedoms. However, I agree that the uzis etc need to be outlawed. Therein lies the basic fallacy of political correctness: It's an all or nothing ideal, with no tolerence for common sense allowed.

Assault weapons should be outlawed, individually, by name and make. All others should be left alone.

Judas, I used to own a Tommy Gun, but that was well before the regulations changed. Fired it once (with supervision by an expert). I thought the recoil had broken my shoulder. I gave it to the expert and never saw it again.

I see no need for fully automatic weapons for general use, legally or not! They are weapons of war and we don't need war in our world, let alone on the streets of the USA.

Nothing personal, but Oprah's opinions on this or anything else are of no concern to me. She's more of the problem in this country than the solution. And not just her...all of them. But her more than most.

Our media is decidedly anti-personal rights. It is much easier to be a liberal. You don't have to have any original thoughts. You just listen to whatever talking head you see on the news and repeat what they said. Don't think about the cosequences of freedoms lost, they won't matter next week when we are onto a different soapbox anyway. Very short-sighted, but easy.

I dont think so, most people are not liberals and if you share liberals views with none liberals you don't get a nice a reply. Ever herd of peer presure.. It doesn't just apply to drugs alchohol and cigerrates

I have no idea what the media is like in your area. Just pointing out in my neck of the woods they were certainly pro republican. :)
