Denny Hamlin expecting 1st child with girlfriend

Where's your etiquette and morals, son?
You knock my daughter up and don't put a ring on her finger then the ICU is your next stop. Count on that.
Morals and etiquette? Maybe raise a daughter that doesn't get knocked up out of wedlock. Or perhaps it's the girl that doesn't want to get married.:) She should probably get a say in all of this.

I expect that she would want the father of her child to take responsibility and step up and do the right thing. Children should be raised by both loving parents (which should be married). Like I said, if he knocked my daughter up and didn't marry her then I would beat his no good ass. Things aren't always planned but you have to adjust when unexpected things happen. My parents weren't married when my mother became pregnant, but my dad stepped up. Denny needs to do the same or turn in his man card. How would you like to be the child of a man that didn't think well enough of your mother to marry her?

I agree with Bobby Ford, make sure she is on the pill, or use protection yourself if you are not sure about being a daddy. I would never sign a prenuptial either. It is a foundation that screams distrust, I would rather be a fool that believes in love and trust, than a loner counting his money at night (fool used loosely I consider the one demanding a prenuptial to be the fool)

The thing is, both parties took equal participation in the joining of the DNA. It's time to continue the equal participation in the joined parenting of the result.
Plus, she ain't hard to wake up to :D

Do you have a ******? ;)

The only way I wouldn't make her sign a prenup is.........if she had more money then me. ;)

and on a serious note, if she really loved me then she should sign it because she is marrying me for more then just my money right?

divorce rates are way too high in this country not to protect yourself.

The world is changing around us...simple as that.

When I was young we would have the "Where did she go?" girls (8th grade usually)...just about the time they "matured" they would get knocked up by a High School guy. The family would send her to an Aunt in Omaha or something like that. Pregnant girls were not allowed in school as they were deemed adults due to their (obvious) actions.

I dunno...maybe it's for the best? My gut instinct is that the more morals a society has...the better.

Says me, I can have my own opinion on it.

You sure can because you're all grows up. :)

So what you meant was "It's my opinion that Denny should get married because my own personal morals cause me to feel that way. However, I respect Denny's right to live his life as he sees fit because I am in no position to pass judgment on Denny.":D

Denny is a grown man. He can do what he wants. I can tell you if I was his GF I would lay down the law and tell him to marry me.

There are options available if you do not want to be parents. You can abort, you can put up for adoption or you can become parents. If you become parents then you should be married.
Somehow this may end up in The Podium.

Man doesn't wear rubber, Daddy writes monthly check. Lady doesn't demand ring before rubber come off, Momma raises baby.

If people raised their kids smart, we wouldn't have these issues.

Or go the same sex route and not have to worry about it at all

ICU your ass, I've got a .45, some land and the use of a friends backhoe. Besides I'm not afraid of going back to prison.:)
WOW, you be an excon? Why are you walking the streets of RI? No wonder yer a wacko liberal. I be innocent. Now I understand why you hate, wait, dislike intensely fergy. I'm sure the libs are proud of you and your guns.

We will just have to agree to disagree and we are entitled to form our own opinions or principles.

But If I loved her I wouldn't be thinking like a banker, and wouldn't make her pass a money test.
The prenuptial says you don't trust her , your (your is used generically for people in general not you specifically) money is worth more than putting trust and faith in her. Given those conditions I don't know why a man should consider himself other than a player.

It is only step above prostitution given that it has a written contract, no self respecting woman should accept those terms. I don't consider myself a feminist, I like the biological roles and I love girlie women like my wife and past gfs.

But she is an equal life partner, I want to put my faith in her, and if I am not willing to do that it is not love, and it ain't worth a damn imo. If you want to live you must take some risk.

Again I respect your right to disagree, I just wanted to explain my train of thought. I realize it is not for everyone and that people have to make their own choices. It is just my two cents.

BTW I have lost everything but the shirt in a prior divorce, but my ideas remain the same.

I don't think it would be in the best interest for them, or their child, for them to rush into marriage if they are having relationship problems that are severe enough to cause them to break up already. Enough kids go through the trauma of a divorce in this world already. Why would they need to hurry? There's no expiration date on marriage.

77 posts and finally one that makes some sense. Nicely done.
