And Jeff Gordon should already have 6 championships. But they don't. That's the way the cookie crumbles.

Sack up and win or shut up. Luck is an extremely important part of this sport. Both good and bad. The fact that Harvick always bitches or complains about his bad luck is just a clear sign that he isn't ready to win a Championship.
no **** that is my point. it's never the harv fault. at some point and time the driver has to carry the team.

Now in his interview Allmendinger said he still had the chance to finish 5th in points, is that true? If so any idea how? Do the guys who get eliminated in the next two rounds get their points reset too?
Yeah, that's true. When drivers get eliminated from the Chase, their points reset back to 2,000 + points earned during the Chase + bonus points for wins in the first 26 races. For AJ however, I'd say finishing 5th in points is more a mathematical possibility than a realistic one. ;)

Nobody knows how this points system works. Jimmie got confused as hell talking about it before the race.

I dont think any of them have a flipping idea of how it works.

Good thing because this shtick will be gone next year. Hopefully.

Kurt said it was all his fault...it is NOT all his fault.

If you all had any idea how pissed I am right now. ****** CC.

Sorry about Kurt Lisa ................................ he took the high road and blamed himself, we all know it wasnt all his fault :(

It would be a pretty stupid system if AJ ends up 5th this year at the head table , with half a dozen past champions applauding that teams' accomplishment .

hold that thought.

not bad for a new team, but not as cool as when he was driving for furniture row, I bet they would take him back in a heartbeat if he wanted to move and all the contract stuff was right..

Doubt it. How many races did he win with Couch Sleeper racing again?

Do you remember where they were before that? The RCR joint program helped out and Kurt was consistently fought for top 10s' and 5s'. There were occasions where he was so close. He's miles ahead of where Truex was and consider he was one and done there as well.

Can't always account for wins look at the progress of the team.

his numbers were good with furniture row, and he got tons of publicity and it was more fun to watch him race IMO.
It was fun to watch him race but it was more disappointing to see him lose big because the cars he was driving couldnt stay together.

Thank you. I could cry but I won't. This is so disappointing.

Dont let it get you down, my guy is driving a three legged toad around every weekend too. You really cant expect much when guys have equipment thats not competitive. Kurt took it like a man and gave a good interview, that a positive thing

he only had a couple of DNF's in 13 and they were for crashes, his average finish was higher so far than it is this year. He won a race this year was his saving grace.

Kurt gave a great interview. Patricia must have talked to him first. *small smile*

That was a joke, btw.

Excuse me for Kurt not being perfect, reck. We are all works in progress. Yourself included.
Kurt started this year without a crew chief , crew or a race shop. There is no way on earth that a lessor driver could have contended for top tens .He carried that team and they overachieved .IMO . Next year they will contend for the championship.

I said lose big, DNFs wasnt included.

We'll have to see if Daniel Knost is with them, Ted. Perhaps I am too hard on him but I just so have my doubts about him.

guess you need to read it again. His average finish is higher last year than it is so far this year. 5 DNF"S this year as compared to 2. The only thing he did better this year was win one race

DNFs not included. Holy ****.

I'm sure that they will be starting year 2 with an assessment of every part of their operation .

Hey I defended him the other day when good old Fender said Logano was a better driver. I'm not hating on him. Just going by what he shows us during the races.

Has nothing to do with how he acts outside of racing. I wouldn't know.

"He's not acting like a champion most of the time."

How would you know if he's not acting like a champion most of the time? Do you follow him around?

Yeah, he blows up in the car, some of the other guys do too. He's by far, not the only one.

On the track. And sometimes off it as well.

It's been documented. There is no arguing that.

Have I been arguing that point...NO!

But he's better and will continue to grow and get better. Look at him today, that interview was fantastic.

So drop it.

I for one am disappointed in his performance this year, Harvick has been a factor this year, Tony had the broken leg and now the Ward tragedy, Ya can't count on Danica for much, so Kurt should have done better than he did with Furniture Row. It isn't like they were a one car team in Colorado, they had Hendrick engines and good engineers and equipment.

You just asked me how I knew how he wasn't acting like a champion. I answered.
