Random NASCAR Stuff to talk about.....

In a roundabout way this is Nascar related so suck it up. The dealer I buy my boxes and cases of Nascar trading cards from sent me a thank you for my business. Any guesses what is was?

A FREAKIN AUTOGRAPHED HOCKEY PUCK. Just what a Nascar fan and collector from Florida needs and wants. Shakes head in wonderment.

Are you saying people in Florida don't care about the Buffalo Sabres?

I guess what I'm saying is that we have the Ice Flyers. The Champions of the SPHL for the last two years. We have a lot of snowbirds and military families from the north that support them. I had to use google to find all of that out because the locals could care less about Hockey. After all we are in Florida. :D

Those aren't the real Flyers

So I have a question, more than once drivers have complained about the set-up in their cars being off and having a hard time driving the car. Jimmie Johnson even had this problem at the Chase Race in Charlotte. So, my question is, is the Gen6 car so set-up dependent that a driver can't race a badly set-up car to a decent finish like in the old days, or are drivers just complaining?

Someone said JJ likes a loose car, and the new aero package makes that hard to get from the car. If that's true, he should kill it next year.

Yea I've heard that too. I know where he's coming from, I love it when my virtual car is loose on iRacing.com, it allows me to smoothly drive it into and out of the turn, on a tight set-up you just feel like you have to force it into the turn.

Its been a real pain switching from Allstate to Farmers, and changing from Dodge to Ford to Toyota to Chevy.

I'm sticking to Ford myself. Chevy doesn't really have a good reputation in my family. Chrysler vehicles (this include Dodge) is starting to have a poor reputation in the family as well.

Speaking of brand loyalty, I bought a 2013 Ford Fusion the other day. My first ever Ford. It's just a much better car for the money than the Chevy Malibu and/or Impala.

And that 2.0 Ecoboost Turbo is fast!

i like that shade of blue.....sharp looking car

Thanks. I'm very happy with it. I am just getting used to the fact that I own a Ford. Especially considering my fan allegiances. I had to set that aside and get the best car I could for the money that suits my needs. And the heated leather...good for my old aching back on cold days.

That being said, I am fully loyal to the 24, HMS and Chevy as far as NASCAR is concerned. :D
