Big changes coming

Brad said that if Motorsports were invented today, this is how it'd be built.

Yeah we've come a long way from a simple 43-1 points system, which ironically was also designed for mouth breathing future fans

Dislike the confusion (I'm gonna have to read this after the release video is over).

I think they said you exit pit road the same way you enter so not much strategy to play which is a real shame.

No, what they said is that they'll restart as they came off of pit road, not on. Pit stops are for position like normal. Field is not frozen.

I like that the regular seasons means more now (still hate the Chase though) and bonus points carry through the first three rounds. There's no doubt drivers and teams took more of a testing mentality into race weekends after they locked up a Chase spot.

I don't like that it's going to be a pain in the ass to keep track of and we need to take a potty break after each "stage". Seriously, how the **** are fans supposed to keep track of all these different bonuses?

Who the **** can keep up with these numbers?

This wont change a damn thing. They put lipstick on a pig.

Is the board game Monopoly confusing to you as well? You have your regular season points(Cash) and your playoff points(houses and hotels)

Lolwtf? This is racing, not a fiscal board game. GTFOH

So what happens between segments? They pit and then go back racing? Or do they park em.

I got lost in the preschool graphics

Given an infinite number of monkeys in an infinite number of universes, at least one of them will have a rulebook without a Chase. o_O

Let's find that universe

You guys are nuts if you think this stuff is bad. This is the most legit and sensible change they've made in years.

If it turns out good when the season starts, I'll say I was wrong. But this just seems dumb to me.

Horseface said that? Why am I not surprised!!!

You are fooled if you think this will change the ontrack product. Drivers already try to be in contention to win every lap. This format destroys any idea of off-cycle pit stops to be in the front at the end.

If a win gets you in the Chase I see no incentive in these bonus points.I don't understand how taking breaks from racing is going to do away with "boredom" either. If they are going to stop racing then the channel will probably change. I have no interest in mid race interviews as they already do them in car which is better in my opinion.

I dont like 2 staged breaks, but not as suck as I anticipated. The points mean a little more with the system and carry over into the first three rounds.

I still hate the elimination and planned cautions. But given that they are Hell Bent on those two POSs, it is not as bad as I expected.

Looking forward to the 500.
(but I still hate Brian France, Helton, Eddie Gossage, Bruton Smith, Humpy Wheeler, Tony George, Dave Moody, Pistine,... just include anybody involved with producing Nsscar on Sirus, and I am sure I forgot a few to hate and will regret it later)

Edit :Add Brad KesaSuckUp to the hate list

You have got to be kidding me.

Us fans bitch NON STOP that the TV networks cut to commercial too much under green and we miss some action. So the TV networks agree to air a bunch of the commercials under yellow, guaranteed AFTER the pit stops so we don't miss the battle on pit road, and we complain about it?? The networks have to make money. Commercials have to happen either way. They just threw us a bone and we're gonna complain about that as if we'd prefer to take those commercials under green or something. Holy crap, what CAN they do right?

At least we wont be seeing the Gibbs cars cruising around and not racing. I will give it a chance to play out but I really dont like seeing them throw a yellow for no reason

cheesepuffs is already doing reps at the gym by the time there is a long green run.
He made a good point though. He said the long miles were made to make it an endurance test on both machine and driver. But with today's technology going 4-500 miles isn't a great task for a car

That is a good point. Let's run sprint races because it's not challenging for the racecar, otherwise.

I can't even be bothered to read this stuff. Only even came here to see what you guys thought cause my Dad just called me to tell me about it. Wake me up when the races start.
