NFL 2017-2018

Of the originals Empire Strikes Back was good. Force awakens was awful. I considered leaving early. Rouge One was a tall glass of water after that disneyfied pos. Hopefully this one puts a stop to the garbage. I'm not crossing my fingers for this series though.

Woo hoo! The Birds played well enough to defeat the Panthers despite the suspect officiating and kudos to Wentz, Cox, Blount, Hollins (yes Hollins) Douglas, Mills, Jenkins and Coach Peterson.

But remember Philly fans are the worst people in sports because we booed Santa 50 years ago:rolleyes:
Browns fans can be bad too. I went to a Titans-Browns game in Cleveland back in 2011 wearing my Titans stuff, I got cursed at by a girl that looked like she was maybe 10 years old, and had a guy try to pick a fight with me after the game (we won 31-13 that day, so I guess he was a little upset). I think it was Browns fans who were throwing full beer bottles at players from the opposing team (the Jaguars IIRC) one time too.

I mean people get stabbed at Cowboys games

For the record panthers fans shared the **** out of this on social media to track down this sob. That ain’t how panthers fans act.

Brees was a question mark due to size and his shoulder injury and the Chargers are a bad team but it doesn't all fall on Rivers. Bring back Air Coryell, Dan Fouts, Kellen Winslow, Lofton and Jefferson. That was entertainment.
That was the very best entertainment the NFL had on offer in the 80's.

When the Saints go marching in, yahoo. :D

The Titans haven't beaten the Colts since 1932. Doesn't look like they're going to tonight either.

Hue Jackson now 1-20 as the Browns head coach.

I was so excited when they hired Jackson, and I've been a huge fan but I'm quickly losing faith. He's supposedly a quarterback guru, yet he pulled Kizer last week for Kevin Freaking Hogan, and Cody Kessler (who actually looked pretty good last year for a rookie with a terrible line) is 3rd string for whatever reason. They need to roll with Kizer and let him get experience. If he still looks like hell by the end of the season, they will know they need to draft a QB with their first pick.

Speaking of drafting a QB, it still pisses me off to no end that they passed on Wentz. The front office has done a great job of trading and adding picks, but most of their picks have been mediocre at best. Of their 14 picks in 2016, only a couple of them are contributing, and none of them have stood out. They wasted a 1st round pick on Jabrill Peppers this year, who seriously looks like the worst safety to ever play in the NFL. They let Terrelle Pryor walk this offseason in favor of Kenny Britt, who has done nothing but drop passes and make lazy mental mistakes every game. They scouted Kareem Hunt and were literally the only coaching staff in the NFL with the chance to coach him at the Senior Bowl, yet they didn't think he was worth drafting with any of their picks, and he looks like the best RB in the league. It probably wouldn't have mattered anyway, I mean Duke Johnson has been their most explosive player on offense since he was drafted three years ago, yet he barely ever gets a chance to touch the ball.

One more thing that chaps my ass: the stupid looking uniforms. The old uniforms were classics; even though the team sucked, hey, at least they looked great. But nooooo, we can't have nice things, they had to take those away from us. The uniforms were the ONE thing we had that didn't suck, and apparently Jimmy Haslam decided since we play like crap, we should look like crap too! :owquitit:

This city is eternally grateful for that, Philadelphians currently have convinced themselves we are going to the Super Bowl...I'll believe it when I see it. But everyone here in Wentzylvania is on the Wentz Wagon

Man, I liked both Goff and especially Wentz leading up to the draft, and since the Browns were drafting second, I thought it was a foregone conclusion they would end up with one of them. They goofed it up in typical Browns fashion. I was sold on Wentz, I had a feeling he would be really good and it's looking like he will be a top 5 QB in the league for the next decade.

Please not that fool.

He's the best option out there hands down, and would be an immediate/dramatic upgrade over Bortles. No doubt Smith would be the best QB to play in Jacksonville since Mark Brunell, at the very least. I think he's one of the most underrated and under appreciated players in the league. Oh and he's also leading the NFL in passing this year ;)
