NFL 2018-19

Cam ain’t no Patrick Mahomes.
Not even halfway through the season. Lots and lots of quarterbacks have looked good. And Mahomes is surrounded by elite players on every position on the KC offense. Alex Smith looked elite in that offense too.

These flashy young "unstoppable" QBs usually end up sucking when defenses figure then out. And these high flying offenses usually fall apart.

He's looked good so far, but I'm not ready to pen the Chiefs in for Super Bowl LIII just yet. KC typically tails off in the 2nd half of the season. I remember 2013 when KC started 9-0 then proceeded to lose 6 of their last 8 games, including a playoff loss to Indy in a game they led 38-10 at one point. Last year was another good example, when they started 5-0 but only finished 10-6 and lost to the Titans at home in the WC game, another game in which they were up big. Andy Reid always finds a way to let it slip away.

I was hoping I would get to watch the Seattle vs Detroit game on tv, but I guess the broadcast team or whomever makes the decisions figure more people in Wichita want to watch the Giants vs Redskins.

It's only Week 8 and Corey Coleman is already on his 4th team this season.

This guy was a first round pick just a couple years ago.

Some good games on tap today. Seattle vs Detroit, Green Bay vs Los Angeles and New Orleans vs Minnesota should all be good. Of course, I assume one of those will end up being a blowout.

Looks like I may be switching to the race a bit sooner than planned. Detroit isn't looking anywhere as good as they have been as of late.

Panthers rolling early. Love how Cam always gives the ball or something to a kid in the stands after touchdowns
Panthers have to be in Super Bowl discussion. Cam is the most underrated QB in the NFL. Without him, Panthers are an 8-8 team.

Hate that Cam plays for a team whose fanbase hates him. Carolina could win a Super Bowl and still bitch about Cam.

Super bowl? Isn't that a little bit of an over reaction?

He says they are an 8-8 team without Newton, so he must be underrated. Isn't this the same team that went 6-10 a couple years ago WITH Newton? :idunno:

Every Panthers fan I've ever met is convinced that Newton is the greatest player in the NFL. I believe Newton's jersey sales are top 5 in the league. But 75k show up at Ericsson Stadium on Sundays to support a football team.
