This is going to be an interesting one. Can't wait to see what happens on restarts

I double dog dare ya to read on down from this place in the article.

Championship field will be settled at renovated Phoenix racetrack

Kyle Busch
Points: 28 points ahead of 5th, 3 points ahead of 4th

Clinches if finishes: Busch must win to guarantee himself a spot no matter what anyone else does. If the winner is not Kurt Busch, Elliott, Almirola or Bowyer, he can clinch by finishing ninth or higher even if he doesn't earn stage points. If one of them does win, he has to finish with four points more than Truex, unless he finishes second, and then it would just have to be three more points than Truex.

Outlook: He has finished in the top four in five of his past six Phoenix starts. He's in good shape as long as there is not an upset. Busch was second in March at Phoenix.

Y'all ready for that Harvick hat trick to finish off the season?

I've been looking forward to this race for about a year now.. I remember thinking that the start/finish line was changed for the first Phoenix race this year right up until the day before the race and bring very disappointed when I found out otherwise.

Ugh...I'm just looking forward to the 2021 Coca-Cola 600...

*running joke from last week's pre-race thread if no one gets it*

NOOOOOOO ! Yes, I like the car, but I don't want to even think about Christmas until Thanksgiving is over.
Retail started thinking about it last week, a neighbor already decorated their house for Christmas. It’s unreal how society rushes to this holiday/time of year.

Nuke it 'til it glows, then shoot at it in the dark. Screw anyone and everyone who trots out any sign or mention of Christmas before the Thanksgiving NFL games are over, and that includes the new third game.

As a Postal Service employee, I second this!

Well this is a surprise to say the least.

Kyle Busch's hauler hits the new pedestrian bridge, everyone is ok , but damage was done to the observation deck railing, aka it just flat tore part of it off.

It sounds like they didnt make the bridge tall enough for the haulers to clear

sounds like the 18 hauler was to high

No, it sounds like the bridge was too low, the parade was diverted around the bridge after the 18 incident as it was the first one to go under it.( my understanding)
If you go 1:03:46 on the video I posted, that is where the audio starts for the incident.
At 1:08:39 on the video is when the CB radio chatter starts , one of the hauler drivers says the stated bridge height and the issue with it and that the #18 hauler was the first one through.
13ft 6 inches, but there is a crown in the road under bridge.
sounds like the 18 hauler was to high

So lets split the difference on this one, it sounds like the bridge was at minimum correct height, but a crown in the road has took away some of the clearance they need.

I'm surprised there haven't been a lot of videos or photos of the track's new configuration. I saw one, but it didn't show the S/F line. Kind of worthless.

Maps are okay, not what I was meaning. I'll watch some of the practice later.
