Change to forum admin organization

Then why doesn't say staff on Duty, who are all the mods, why the secret society?
I'm not sure what secret society you speak of. Everybody with admin or mod priveledges is shown on the staff members tab. Xenforo allows some people to hide their activity on the "Members Online Now" and "last and seen on" protocols. Some people elect to use this tool. That doesn't mean they are a secret. It just means you [plural] don't know when you [plural] are being watched and that you [plural] should behave at all times, lest you [plural] get your hand slapped and posts deleted before non-meaningful or improper comments are seen by the rest of the general public users.

I can't explain it any better than that. Bottom line is that we do have people watching the forums, you know exactly who it is, and we aren't going to put up with comments that read outside the terms of service, regardless of contributing member or not.

This isn't politics nor pay-to-play. Contribution helps keep the lights on, but it's not a free pass to use foul language or imagery.

Ok dude, used to be we always could see the old mods when they were on, now they are in stealth mode. Seems kind of odd that is the way it's going down now, why the need to be stealthy?

Because SOME people liked to abuse the forum when they knew nobody was looking. Some house cleaning and stealth mode implementation (as you put it) put a dent in these behaviors from multiple users.

TRL was the ringleader. With her stepping down, now you get to deal with the rest of us. Not all of us are as nice as TRL. Not all of us are sweet little grandma/great-grandma's. So don't expect that.

I don't really care to be honest as long ther is no bias, which seems to be going on quite frequently, the use of stealth mode is silly , but if it makes you think this place will run better...go for it.

Mags is super fair, hes a lot like TRL but don't dis dodge trucks doing drag racing ;)

I for one welcome our magnethead overlord.
Thanks. She is a retired teacher, and I currently work in the education system. I am actually wearing a suit right now.

Sometimes, dealing with forum folk is alot like dealing with students.

OMG a suit???? That would be an image for sure.,...did you drive the dodge to work?

A fellow wearing a suit driving a drag truck. awesome!

Haha, I have a more mellow dodge for a daily driver.

But yes, the race truck and the firebird do both appear in the parking lot at times. My boss has even rode in the race truck.

Don't forget to change clothes before you work on your race car engine when you get home.:)

Ha! Yes, been in the school system pretty much since I graduated college. Spent 6 months in a school district as a sub, went to manage an auto shop for a year, then worked for the gov't for 8 months as a contractor, been at the current school district for 2 years.

Why the big deal? If we all behave ourselves it shouldn't matter.
Lisa is right. Now that @fury has banned Mopardh9 from the R-F forum, I hope others whose agenda is to attack and belittle other members and disrupt/hijack on-topic discussions will also be dealt with by site management.

Does having a different opinion fall under “disrupt/hijack on-topic discussions?”

It never has before. a discussion board is built on discussing things. but take issue with the substance of the post, not the person.

Of course not, don't be silly. Arguing different facts and different opinions is the muscle and bone of a forum.
I wasn’t being “silly.” I’ve been here a while and actually witnessed people getting flak for disrupting the thread with an unpopular opinion.

A lot more than different opinions were involved with Mopar. He attacked on a personal level
Yes but I’ve seen and experienced flak for not being fully supportive of everything positive about NASCAR.
Let’s be honest, negative opinions about the direction of the sport are frowned upon in the NASCAR section.

Yep, but so do four others here If you disagree with them. They'll try to hound you into submission and if you don't comply they'll keep it up out of spite.
It doesn't bother me, I just laugh and go about my business.

Thanks TRL for being a great moderator. Also thanks to magnethead and fury for their significant contributions to the forum. And I still miss kat as she was also a big part of the forum many years ago.

The problem with some people is they fail to read what is posted. Probably because they are really interested in their own posts.
Go back and read

Who is online and who may or may not be a mod has never concerned me. It is the same thing with deleted or edited posts as you can’t worry about them. I did like the way ib007 handled things in the old days at TR as you always knew where you stood.

It doesn’t matter to me if people post positive or negative stuff about Nascar as the forum is plenty big enough for both sides. Some people are intolerant of ideas and opinions that don’t line up with what they think.

Thanks Texas Race Lady for all you have done.!!!
I've been on here for 10 years, still a rookie compared to some !!!! Have not posted much lately, as a newer, snarkier breed has infested RF. Last spring I called some racist poster out, and I was made out to be the bad guy. Don't need that. Came back to look , thinking Christmas might have altered some outlooks, opinions and posts. I was right. Altered for the worse. I empathize with TRL,and all the other Admins here. Babysitting entitled people is a chore. Once again, hats off to you TRL, enjoy the freedom. And good luck to the Admins stepping up.
