2018-19 Fall/Winter Weather Thread

Well the sunshine will be short lived. More rain early this morning but supposed to clear out by the afternoon.
Some areas near here have recorded seasonal totals above 20”.
It’s supposed to be dry for the next few days.

Camellias already bloomed and died. Azaleas are coming into full bloom. Lows in the mid to low 60s and highs in the mid 70s. Typical weather here for this time of year.

Tomorrow is gonna be fun.:D

Another dusting of snow on the Bay Area hills and Mt Diablo.

Well compared to you the 3-6 inches of snow forecast for today is hardly worth mentioning...:)

3-6 inches of snow expected tomorrow. It's not a lot, but it's still expected to be our biggest snowstorm in at least the last few years.

Second bluebird day in a row. Yesterday was so deep that you could have used a snorkel to help you breathe. Looks like we have another storm rolling in for the next couple of days.:DDay number 43 on the slopes for me this year.

A youngster who's gonna be hooked for life.

Coldest January and so far February in recent memory. Cold air feels like it’s coming straight out of the North Pole.
Can’t wait for warmer days :)

It's snowing, we are expecting another 5-7 inches today. This is an accumulation from the last couple of weeks. That's my grill on the left.

Got just a little over 3 inches the other day, now 1-3 is forecast for tonight.
I'd rather get a foot of snow instead of a couple of inches. With a foot people stay off the road, with just a inch or two there's no concern and people drive like Kyle Busch on crack...:XXROFL:

Looks like some great snowmobiling conditions. I had an X who was from Minnesota and she loved snowmobiling. I visited her family a couple of times and they taught me how to ride. Good times.
The snowmobilers are out in force. I used to do more outside stuff in the winter; skiing, broom ball, even tried winter camping (a few times was enough). You learn car control driving in the snow. The cold never bothered me (you can dress for it), I don't like it when it gets hot and muggy.

Impressive snowpack. I'm guessing resorts like Squaw Valley and Mammoth Mountain will be open until June if not longer. If your really hardcore the backcountry will have enough snow to make turns during the spring and summer.

More rain and snow. I love all the snow, but it sucks and frustrating when the roads are closed and you can't get to it to enjoy it.

Yesterday one weather guesser said we'd be getting 3-5 inches of snow, another channel's guesser said 5-7. We got 4 inches. Tonight into tomorrow one says 5-7 inches, the other 7-10. I'm thinking 7 is the magic number.
