Random NASCAR Stuff to talk about.....

A crew of 10 will work seven days along the shores of Lake Lloyd to set up the show, which will be fired from 15 different locations using state-of-the-art digital firing equipment. Fireworks By Santore will utilize:

And it begins, my rebuilding of the first part of my Irvan models from the 90's , starting with all the Havoline years. I think the Havoline scheme is my favorite 90's era scheme.

Feel like NASCAR is screwing over Homestead with it's new date for 2020. It's too damn close to the Daytona 500 and the Grand Prix of St. Pete, and the same damn weekend for Sebring. Not to mention that finding a hotel in South Florida during Spring Break is impossible. As a South Florida resident, if Homestead's dropped from the calendar, I'll never forgive NASCAR, not even a Miami Street Circuit (good luck dealing with NIMBYs) or a PBIR event will sate my anger.

I would have thought a race late in the chase would have worked better. People in South Florida have a history of not supporting sports. There is just too much to do every weekend in addition to what you listed. Without the lure of the championship weekend, the attendance for next years race might be the lowest of all tracks.

Maybe they're hoping to sell tickets to the spring breakers?

I still feel like NASCAR's attempts to create excitement and draw new fans are only serving to further alienate the fanbase. And the worst part is, management believes their own lies

Wonders what driver would look best in a traditional photo shoot with velcro sliders for publicity

does Nascur rule with such a strong hand that drivers and wifes can not laugh or smile when a singer butchers our National Anthem

I think I understand where you are coming from. I always try to be respectful when the National Anthem is played or sung no matter what the singer does.
