Random NASCAR Stuff to talk about.....

If you’re serious about grooming young talent, this is a good place to start.

Let me admit something, at times I feel like our sport is also run by idiots. The fanbase wants high horsepower and low downforce cars, so what does NASCAR propose, the exact opposite, and instead of using the hybrid tech to increase the horsepower in the cars, they decide to add a silly Push To Pass element

That went way over my head, not unlike a loose hood. I'm guessing this is another pop culture reference I haven't been exposed to.

To those of you who keep saying, NASCAR should bring back Rockingham... Sorry, but Rockingham couldn't even sell out when every other track was.
Rockingham was told they needed to sell out their final race to keep their Cup Series date too, IIRC, and they fell 10,000 short.
If people wanted Rockingham back, they should have gone to the Truck Races. They would have at least, had a valid argument as to why Cup should return, showing the demand was there. But they didn't.
Also, if the track couldn't get a full crowd in 2004 when the sport was absolutely red hot, at a 60,000 seat venue , what makes you think it could draw fans now

Not disagreeing with you on the mid 2000s part but IIRC the Truck races were well attended, so

Not enough to save the track financially, or enough to seriously get NASCAR's attention, the way Gateway most likely has. And by the way, even before the Ferko lawsuit, the writing was on the wall.

Rockingham just isn't in a good (new) market or good area. I would like to see it return as a NXS / Trucks standalone weekend if anything, but I doubt that will happen either.

We went to the truck races at Rockingham and relatively speaking attendance was good, so based on your logic I can argue Cup should go there.

Prior to his bankruptcy as the operator of “The Rock”, Andy Hillenburg would have thanked you for your support.
