Chase Elliott

I find it humorous that two guys that quite clearly do not care for Chase at all are in here telling us their professional opinions of what and who Chase really is as if we've got some sort of skewed opinion of him. Gold.

It must be starting to set it that he's actually becoming one of the best in the sport and they no likey.
Start quoting people man, and stop with the passive agressive stuff. It's childish. Be up front if you take issue with how people are posting in here.

Firstly, Sure, I want to see the 48 succeed as much as possible this season before retirement. That includes outrunning his teammates. So any frustration I show towards Chase is a mannifestation of that. After this year, I'm all for Chase.

Secondly, sharing thoughts on personalities is what I do, for a living. Quite literally. It's a passion, and why I do what I do. I've done the same with KB, Edwards, Johnson etc. Rev knows this, and knows how I think, which is why I am responding to him. If I'm in a thread talking about a driver's personality, it's because that driver's personality interests me. What it ISN'T, is some rationalization of my dislike. It's just self expression coming from a place of genuine curiosity, and passion.

But I doubt you respond to this, so think what you want my dude.

I think being a MPD brings them a little negative attention that they don't deserve because it draws a lot of nut hugger fans and that causes dislike from other drivers fans. I have been a fan of 4 most popular drivers in my life, Bill Elliott, Dale Earnhardt, Dale Earnhardt Jr, and now Chase Elliott. So I have paid a little bit of attention to other MPD fans and I think that because some of them are such nut hugger fans that thinks their driver can do no wrong in their eyes causes a lot of other drivers fans to dislike an MPD and they try to pick them apart, when in reality it is the MPD fan that rubs them the wrong way. I know you are not a nut hugger fan because I have read posts where you have criticized your driver but yet you still care about your drivers reputation. I don't care who my drivers are I will always criticize them if I see something they did wrong but will be the first to "at a boy them" when they do something outstanding. I feel pretty confident that I have two of the best young drivers in NASCAR to root for with Elliott and Bowman.

Nice to see the 9 team close the deal last night. They have been VERY iffy lately. You know they have speed, but results are what counts. Hopefully this will build a little momentum going towards the playoffs. The other three HMS cars, well..........

When everyone is whining about the All Star Race being to short to progress and it being impossible to pass, but you started 13th and won...

Seen a bunch of people wanting NASCAR to suspend Chase for watching the Open race from the stands and high fiving fans post race.

Well if NASCAR didn’t suspend Bubba for highfiving fans at Dega or Cole Custer hugging his crew members, they shouldn’t suspend Chase for doing the same thing.

I think he should be reprimanded in some way for going into the stands (and putting it on instagram like an idiot). He should not have had contact with fans after, but if they nail that, then they need to hit up every driver that didn't wear a mask after getting out of car for interview, Bubba for his fan high fives at Dega, and Cole Custer for running and jumping into his team.

what in the hell are you talking about. Can't you tell the difference between morons and racing fans?

NASCAR can nail him and make an announcement, owning up to their poor management before.

*Chase Eliot fined and put on probation.*

"We realize our handling of social distancing violations have not been what they should be. This is our mistake for setting a bad example, as an organization hosting events which are bringing people together. Our sport should be an example of this, which is why going forward, any driver or crew member who violates the CDC Guidelines will be fined and placed on probation. We apologize to Chase Eliot and his fans for being the first member of our sport penalized when he did not commit the first violation. That is our mistake and we take full responsibility and acceptance of any well deserved criticism.

We take this seriously. Any driver or team member who violates the COVID-19 CDC Guidelines will be fined and placed on probation for the rest of the season. Should the driver or team member violate the guidelines again, he will be suspended for the rest of the season without discussion or opportunity for appeal."

What the hell is so hard about this?

Either penalize them all or none at all. Picking and choosing does nothing.

They understand some things are bigger than appeasing the Karens.

A superstars popularity is not one of those. And advocating for consistency with the CDC Guidelines certainly doesn't make one a Karen.

NASCAR can penalize Bubba and Chase. They can penalize one, or they can penalize everyone moving forward. But they would have to acknowledge their previous failing to do so.

Not doing this makes the entire sport and drivers hypocrites. They talk of fan safety, NASCAR stands with Bubba, then drivers ignorantly disregard health concerns and NASCAR let's them get away with it.

That's not okay.

apparently it is ok. It looked like Bubba and Chase were 6'1" away from the fans to me.

The CDC isn't the be all to end all. Bro people just have to be around each other at some point.

The hats weren't good enough.....Oh boy. #ChaseIsTheChampionLife
Lmao you damn right!

Honestly though, creating something to the liking of a large group of people that are willing to hand you lots of money is good business on their part. New Era just assuming everyone likes or looks good in a one style suits all hat is bad business.

99% of the championship gear I've seen is ugly. Idk who is designing this stuff, but they need fired. It shouldn't be this difficult to design some good looking merch.

The hat that Adub posted is definitely the best I've seen.

Here it is almost Christmas and I still cant believe Chase won the whole dang thing !
Did that really happen ?
Just seems like a few years ago I was watching him as a 15 year old spanking
a late model field at Lanier Raceway in Ga.

Soak it in brother. Buy everything. Part of the fun. Honestly happy for you. Enjoy this.

I wouldn't really know, but I'd imagine that the aesthetic of Championship gear is much less important than the pride of wearing it.
