Cup RACE thread --- Pocono, Rd. 2

Not to harp on the start times but as someone who would have been there today this weekend's weather (pocono history in general) should result in some changes for the anticipated redux in 2021. Do a late morning start for the trucks/xfinity and then get the cup races going by 230. I love being at the track but today would have been a true test of fan stamina.....:)

Damn, that was a hard hit

So is there gonna be the same hate that Hamlin got for doing the same thing to Larson at Cali?

I’m not wishing anything, just reported what some drivers saw. Glad we are green.

My Pocono experience tells me it should be fine. It's been in direct sunlight and they pavement looks light colored. I can't see it being a problem so long as the entrance into 1 is safe. I've seen moisture/weepers near the pit wall on a day where it never rained....

Matt D had a fast car yesterday but got mired back on a pit stop call. Redemption tour today.

No Mike Joy, 48 didn't lose that spot to Kenseth..he didn't have that spot.

I like Mike Joy but he does this every race. Does he watch what's going on out there?

Thank God they got this thing going. Fingers crossed we will get the whole race in before dark!

The fact they haven't announced a shortened distance intrigues me. Given how important fuel mileage/strategy is I'm surprised there hasn't been confirmation from NASCAR.

They aren’t at the track and are watching the same broadcast we are. Simmer.

9 car was going to pit for position but Alan told him to come too late. Lol
