Misc. Sprint/Midget Racing

This field might be deeper then last night we added Lance Dewease back in going for career win 100. I think I saw Tim Schaffer
Not Tim Shaffer, its Brett Sherer, who just had his front wing come loose and spun around and hit the wall in qualifying

Corey Eliason flips while leading heat 1 by like a quarter lap hes ok

Bell hit a spinning lapped car early and was done, unfortunately. Freddie Rahmer then led the rest of the race until Larson passed him coming to the white flag. Larson takes the win, Rahmer 2nd, Sammy 3rd. Lance Dewease was flying through the field and I think he got 4th.

Larson wins after running down Freddie Rahmer with 2 to go

Ryan Smith was 4th Deitrich 5th Dewease may have been 6th

OK, don't know how I screwed that up.

Man, I was rooting for Sammy, which I never used to do back in the day.
I was too, even though I'm a Deitrich fan. Not every day you get a chance to see a legand win

I was a Sammy fan all the way back when he drove for Beadle....and then Larson came along and I just love the excitement he brings on dirt.

First time at Grandview. They really haul the mail around that track. Got there late, so I sat about 3 rows up by the flag stand. Had to get the air compressor out to blow off all the dirt on me. What did you guys think of Larson's pass for the lead?

Yeah you get dirty at Grandview for sure I was down in the last section in turn 1 at the start of the night you get hard balls of dirt, right in the face lol by the end its just solid dust and I wouldn't have it any other way I love this track. It was a great drive by Larson he tried it a few laps earlier and wasn't clear and wisely backed out of it.

Taking the day off tomorrow mostly cause I don't feel like making the drive out to Port Royal, and I want to hit up Hagerstown Thursday, though I've never figured out how a Maryland track got in PA speedweek when theres are several other tracks that could be visited during the week.

Macri takes his 4th straight at Port

Miss the feature at Lincoln and win two features two night later at the Port. Sprint car racing in PA is pretty darned competive.
Some drivers are better adapted to certain tracks, for example Brian Monteith is an 8 time track champion at Lincoln, but he has never looked fast anywhere else. Same with Logan Wagner, multitime champion at Port Royal also ran anywhere else.

Made it to Hagerstown for my first visit here, a balmy 91 and humid. Masked up though seen to many people without them.

Larson was untouchable tonight, should get a big boost in the points I didn't see what happened but Deitrich on the restart went from 4th to 8th

After qualifying tonight Larson has locked up the PA Speedweek title

These rankings are based purely on average finish in all 410 features nationwide. They do not attempt to weight based on the level of competition, so you'll see some regional racers who are cleaning up locally. Still interesting.

In Posse news Danny Deitrich seems to have shaken the gremlins he has had lately, sweeps the weekend picking up the win Friday at Williams Grove, Saturday at Lincoln, and Sunday at Trail-way though based on the field at Trail-Way he should definitely won

Danny Deitrich picks right up where he left off last weekend and wins for the 50th time at Lincoln and his 4th race in a row.
