Racing Forums Fantasy League 2021

The DGG (Driver Group Game) website has officially opened their doors for Fantasy NASCAR. Any members of this forum are free to join.

This is essentially an improved version of the old Yahoo fantasy season long racing game. It requires some strategy, choosing between driver's, and a little bit of luck.

Details to join,

navigate to https://drivergroupgame.com/ or search dgg nascar to find it that way too

(sign-up or log-in) then click on join league in the left column, scroll downward to see search box and type in 2195, join RFFL 2021.

New League ID #2203

Please make your team name the same as your forum name here, or at least a variation that's easy to tell who you are. for example, mine is Turtle_Motorsports.

If you require further assistance getting into the league or have more questions, you can post here or dm inbox me, and I'll try to help.

For the RFFL player's from last year, this will be a brand new league that you'll need to join if you wish to play, in order to leave the 2019 league go to 'my profile' and it's at the bottom, I suggest this to avoid confusion on your dashboard of leagues.

More posts to come... but I am very excited for this upcoming season and hoping for a good turnout fantasy wise. Best of luck to all the RF games, players, and commissioners here as well.

Can you give or copy and paste some more details how this works? Or just let me know approximately how much and how often a commitment is required. Because we travel part of the year often to remote locations there can be some weeks I would not be able to participate.

You could get away with a single weekly change or no change for a couple weeks, there's also the ability to set your lineup in advance weeks ahead of time.

Essentially there's 3 driver groups A, B, and C here's the full list they've produced for this year,

To get you thinking about how you'll allocate drivers, here are the Driver Groupings for 2021:

ABC
Brad KeselowskiAlex BowmanBubba Wallace
Chase ElliottAric AlmirolaChase Briscoe
Denny HamlinAustin DillonCorey Lajoie
Joey LoganoChris BuescherMichael McDowell
Kevin HarvickChristopher BellRicky Stenhouse Jr
Martin Truex JrCole CusterRoss Chastain
Ryan BlaneyErik JonesRyan Preece
Kurt BuschAnthony Alfredo
Kyle BuschAustin Cindric
Kyle LarsonBJ McLeod
Matt DiBenedettoBrennan Poole
Ryan NewmanChad Finchum
Tyler ReddickDaniel Suarez
William ByronDavid Ragan
Garrett Smithley
James Davison
JJ Yeley
Justin Haley
Noah Gragson
Quin Houff
Reed Sorenson
Ryan Ellis
Timmy Hill

You pick a roster of 8 driver's each week, then choose to start 4 of those driver's, 1 from A, 2 from B, and 1 from C. It's pretty easy if you're not overthinking it imo. If you're selecting for ahead of time you just have to make sure that those driver's have enough allocations to last you thru the time you'll be gone. Each driver only gets a set number of use's for the entire year (last year that number was 8).

Hope this helps explain some of the game. Also, the DGG website was open, but is now being updated so we're on temporary hold for signups.

When the site was opened temporarily it did not accept any new changes or creations. The league ID above should work (see original post for directions).
Please let me know here if you're able to join successfully, so I know that it's working. Thanks for bringing that to my attention DF.

I was able to join...

I’m in but the 2019 league is still there..

We're up and running with the new league ID#, showing 4 total so far.

A couple of change's to know about for previous player's, Bench has been removed from the game (for now) by the creator of the site, the absence of practice/qualifying and having a roster lock up until race time, has removed some of the strategy out of the game, unfortunately. The goal remains the same though, allocation management and picking the best 4 driver's that score the most points for each race.

Alterations from the default settings are the top 10 get stage points (instead of only the top 5), the leader of the most laps gets 10 points instead of only 5, total allocations for each driver reduced from 9 to 8 (same as last year), and Blaney into B-list... this makes for a better game imo, giving A-list 6 driver's 48 allocations. We will not be using the default "qualifying feature" that the creator has introduced as double points, stays the same as last year starting 4 driver's.

Fantasy Ready!

"Bush Brothers" has checked into the RFFL 2019 league but not the RFFL 2021 league unless he's changed his name.

I'm in the new RFFL 2021 league.

However, I originally tried with the ID number in post #1. This brought up a different league, and I was confused until I scrolled down and saw post #11.

It would be nice if a moderator would correct post #1 with updated information from post #11. Otherwise, some members might skip this game.

done! Thanks for the tag.

I'm in, thanks Turtle84 for running this.

I run a $150 entry fee (100% payout, I've run the league since 2008) league with a completely different rules, last year we had 11 players and it looks like we will have 10 this year. If anyone is interested let me know and I will provide all the info.

I thought I registered, I just used the link we have been using since we switched over to this site

hmm it's not showing ya. did u press the 'check in' icon on the front page of the league? does it say RFFL 2021?

Snappy is in. We're at 16 entries and climbing. Able to join up until roster lock 230pm eastern tomorrow.

I joined. So let me get this straight, you choose 4 drivers each week & you can use a driver up to 8 times for the year? Those are the rules? I'm new to this.

Bingo that's it in a nutshell.

Anyone else have this issue? Blaney is not listed under my A drivers and it shows that I have used every driver once?
