2022 IndyCar News/Misc.

I mean they ran 19 second laps at Dover in 98

Need more of that. Open wheel oval racing is just awesome
0 chance Indy ever goes back to Dover, my dad went to one and said they just piled the sheet metal in a huge pile in the infield. The Monster ate those open wheels up.

Sure hope Rosenqvist stays in Indycar. I've tried to watch the E racing several times but it doesn't work for me.

Y'know, that video was pretty exciting. The problem I've had with FE races is I have always watched them on a tight street course and no one can pass. I haven't seen a race on a proper road course but that video shows me it can be an exciting race.

you and me both. I've tried to watch several times, and I lost interest very quickly.

Foyt will run three cars this weekend, after Mid-Ohio there will be questions if Calderon will continue. No clue how the cars will be branded:

at Mid-Ohio this past weekend, Rossi raced Grosjean like a jackass and shoved him off the track twice. Grosjean took out Herta. Basically all the drivers at AA hate each other right now.
Yeah, I saw that. I thought maybe something managerial had happened since.

Thanks.

Michael had a big meeting directly after the race and individual meetings with each driver in the days since. Told Pieter Rossi that he’s had enough.

Grosjean was told to take the checkered in the pits, presumably so he wouldn’t get into something with Rossi on the cooldown lap. Once he had gone a lap down, he was willing to let by and block for Devlin and not Alex, but I think he got through anyways.

They’re testing alone at Iowa today so they should have better luck not barging into each other and work as a team for once.

You have to wonder what led up to that. It's not like Rossi to just snap like that.

OK, taking someone out with a bonehead move very Grosjean-like.

Chip already hates Zak Brown and I can’t imagine this will help. Might need some more security the next time Zak is at an Indy race.

Also, this dangling of the carrot that is an F1 opportunity seems to be a great recruiting tool for McLaren. However, it feels like there are half a dozen guys that are vying for one seat to open up next year or in ‘24. Rossi doesn’t care anymore, but I wonder how that affects the dynamic between Pato and Palou.

Unfortunately, this also seems to confirm Felix to Formula E.
