Cup RACE thread --- Pocono

šŸ™„. Oh you poor Chase fansā€¦..dang Iā€™ve never seen a more ā€œwoe is meā€ lot of fans in my lifeā€¦..maybe 24 fans years ago?
Nah, we're just saying that we want to see Chase celebrated with the same fervor and passion that was shown to the real champ Harvick by the Chase haters on this board, (much less Reddit.)

As for the "woe is me," how many posts on here this season about poor Blaney and Bubba being screwed? (even when they legitimately were)

Iā€™m assuming the sarcasm is in your first statement? Because, and I think he really is a douch, I think heā€™s handling it pretty wellā€¦.Iā€˜m sure a PR group is helping though.
I personally find leaning into it instead of kicking and screaming way more entertaining and, frankly, mature.

So who else is cheating? The conspiracy lover in me has to know.Gotta hand it to these top tier teams to try everything available as the sponsors will expect a consistent frontrunning team of cars.I have to believe the r and d will actually increase as the game got exponentially more difficult.
Problem is, R&D can analyze a piece, can create a 3-D image, rotate it 6 ways till sunday but they cant do a damn thing with it. Thats the genius of the single source supplier.

My view on this is...who cares. If Chase wins the regular season championship, thatā€™s great itā€™s an awesome accomplishment. As a fan, and I think you and a couple others on here are bigger Chase fans than me, but if he does win... celebrate it. Who cares what a Harvick fan thinks or another driverā€™s fan. The playoffs mean more though and it donā€™t mean a thing without the ring. With the way Chase and the 9 crew are locked in right now, I expect them to make it to the NASCAR Bowl in Phoenix.

ā€¦but the ā€œplayoffsā€ still suck. šŸ˜

Yep, just like I had to come on here and for no reason read about Larson kicking his ass every week last season (not everyone else's, only Chase's), how he's no longer the top driver at HMS, how he's the Golden boy, golden goose, chosen one, boy wonder...what else am I missing?

Chase fans are egged on a lot more than they are "woe is me" and that's a fact.

I think you are pretty good at making drama up myself.

It really means nothing but 15 points in my eyes. Who cares. On to playoffs.

Agreed. Full season points=champ in my eyes, but these are the crap rules we're given to play by. And these days, you can't use regular season points "as they would be" because teams play to the rules. Meaning, when locked in, they may spend a month of the summer R&Ding and testing things versus racing for points as they normally would have.

Sundayā€™s disqualifications are an indicator of the value of ā€R & Dā€œ in the Next Gen era.

Using shop-worn arguments to complain about the same thing for 20 years seems like an exercise in futility to me.

If the teams play by the rules, lol.Otherwise game on.

Not NEAR as many from the Blaney camp. Not near as big a fan base either but the 9 nation acts like professional victims at every turn it seems.

Well, be above it. Talk up your boy but quit acting like "victims" like your first paragraph above infers.

yeah the first sentence shows the twisted logic that is being used. I know of nobody that was goading Elliott fans about Larson winning all of those races.

Maybe not goading, but there was more than ONE person here that couldn't WAIT to make the claim that the "world's greatest driver" was now in the house and Chase was going to have to get used to playing second fiddle. We can argue all day about whether there is any valdidity to than notion, but is was offered with obvious glee by some who couldn't wait to see Chase knocked down a notch.

I don't remember any of that either. A person would have to be blind not to see what kind of season Larson was having and he was beating ALL of the drivers. Elliott wasn't a special case.

Noooo, I'm clearly just a 13 year old girl that has nothing better to do than make up stuff just to argue.

They didnt play by the rules and it was "Game over" Thats not gonna change
Yes, they have been doing the same since how long?I want to know about the more"elegant" methods of deception, but if they're really good at their game we will never hear about it,until these guys talk.maybe after retirement.

The game has changed. They arent pulling out a 12 ft Lufkin and using a go - no go block anymore.

You are not taking the garage gossip in consideration, doesn't matter what era that hasn't changed.

Yes that is my point. It hasn't changed but will be more costly to initiate and to discover.

Huh? how costly was it to unwrap the front facia or find improper screens on Jones's car?
And how long did it take to discover it?How many other races did adjustments go undiscovered?Who actually found the discrepancy and how?

And most importantly to me,who else has gained an advantage (which teams?) I gots to know.I would love to think of Nascar as capable of enforcement of the rules but if a person believes all that...

That's the whole point. If it's good you will never hear see or feel it.
The point is they arent going up against primitive tech methods anymore AND the most speed efficient body parts ,pieces and panels along with critical suspension parts arent made in house anymore.
