NFL 2022-23

Not happy about Ravens Sunday night game. It's gonna suc loosing and trying to sleep POed. I like Saturday games. After you lose you can drink and have a day to recover.

It looks like we've seen the last of Lamar Jackson in Baltimore.
Yeah, It was fun for awhile. Clearly would have made playoffs last year if he played the last 5 games, now this year we're just gonna be a speed bump. I loved Lamar , but if he can't finish a season what good is he. Funny thing is he got hurt last year and this year passing not running. At least baltimore will have lots of cap space next year.

If Lamar can’t handle Baltimore fans, he’s in for a rude awakening if he goes somewhere like New York.

Baltimore sports media acted stupid over the loss to the Jags though. Extremely stupid. Talked about how the Ravens would win by three scores, how the Jags were a bad team, how the Ravens defense would eat Trevor Lawrence alive. Then, when the Ravens lost, it was because of Lamar Jackson who got them in position to win the game, twice.

Yelp, Go Jags.. I don't recall anyone ever talking about 3 scores. Enjoy Lawrence, hope he gets you a Super Bowl before he gets paid. Once he gets paid the odds go way down. Unless he ends up being the next Brady.

The WR market will correct itself by that time, which should help.

People forget that the Jaguars HAD to overspend, and the guys they paid produced. The rest of the NFL honestly looks dumb for overreacting to the Christian Kirk contract since he ended up being that dude.

The Jags kept the receipts too.

Baalke sucks, but man, the rest of the NFL looks dumb for overreacting to the Christian Kirk contract.

A few Baltimore sports pages I follow were.

They got caught up in Jacksonville’s record and the loss to Kansas City. That loss to KC was the first time in my life I watched the jags lose and somehow felt good about the overall trajectory.

I hear ya. It's how Cincinnati is talking about us right now. I like the fact we have nothing to loose and a damn good D. Running game won't too bad either. If we win the turnover battle and keep them under 20 we'll have a chance.

As for your game, Im feeling Jags at the end.

DeAndre Hopkins wants to be traded to Jacksonville. 😳

Trevor Lawrence with Calvin Ridley, DeAndre Hopkins, Christian Kirk, Zay Jones and Evan Engram wouldn't even be fair to the rest of the NFL.

Yo there’s no distractions in that town like other teams lol

The week before the Lions got screwed at Dallas in the Wild Card. You take the good with the bad with the officiating I suppose.

I really try to pick my spots with the refs, it's a difficult job in real-time and a thankless one at that, nobody notices the 99 you got right just the 1 you got wrong, staying tuned the entire game with zero lapses in concentration while a basket of visuals flash in front of you to process all at once. For anyone that dares, take up officiating and you'll have a whole new appreciation of just how not easy it is. Now throw in being in front of 70K and a national tv audience, where you'll likely get booed if you messup or make an unpopular call. 😳

What gets me tho, is when they have the benefit of replay booth and still miss. But even that can be close and questionable, other times just plain obvious. Overall they do a damn good job, it's just hard to call a perfect game. Maybe in the future there will be Robot Refs that never make a mistake, but where's the fun in that? lol.

I don't think it's injury anymore. I think he's checked out of Baltimore.
You think maybe Baltimore might be thinking about guaranteed big time money to a guy that's won one playoff game and can't finish a season.Maybe it's the other way around and Baltimore is checking out on him.

If that's what he's doing, if he's trying to work a deal isn't he doing it backwards. Shouldn't he have done that at the beginning of the season? So now what he was betting on himself and not doing to good so he decided not to finish the season or play in the playoffs. Sounds unlikely.

It's the Jalen Ramsey approach.

Some fool GM is gonna pay him what he's asking.

He got a late season injury which messed everything up. If he was healthy and took his team past the first round at least, it would make contract negotiations easier. Now he's labeled high risk and prone to injury.

Lamar Jackson , just made this statement on twitter

I’ve suffered a PCL grade 2 sprain on the borderline of a strain 3," he said Thursday. "There is still inflammation surrounding my knee and my knee remains unstable. I’m still in good spirits, as I continue with treatments on the road to recovery. I wish I could be out there with my guys more than anything but I can’t give a 100% of myself to my guys and fans I’m still hopeful we still have a chance."

No reason to go out there and pull an RG3. Smart choice for the future. I don’t doubt this guy wants to compete.
I was thinking the same exact thing... BTW congratulations on your regular season Championship. Finished strong.
RG3 wanted to play in that wildcard game. He lost and he lost a hell of a lot more after that.

So Brandon Staley plays the starters in a meaningless game, Mike Williams gets injured, and now he’s out against the Jags tomorrow night.

Anyone know what time the Colts game is? I can't find it anywhere. 😭😭😭😭

Sure hope I get to see Detroit playing on this weekend soon! As with NASCAR, when my team is eliminated, I don't have much care for the rest of the season.

Coaching malpractice, Staley is officially on the chopping block tomorrow night. Game is a coin flip, I won't be surprised either way. But it certainly affects their chances to go far should they advance.

there's also no way they didn't already know MW had a spinal fracture on Mondays MRI, they waited till Friday to news dump to throw off Jags prep, and Staley comes up with this beauty of MW not practicing on Thursday "being healthy is more important than reps". After playing his starters in a meaningless week 18 game. And when injuries have been the main concern all season.
