Cup RACE thread --- Bristol

The gerbs never mentioned all of the playoff points the drivers had or didn't have. :cuckoo:

The short answer? You have just listened to over three hours of B.S. from the idiot NBC gerbils.

The championship is going to come down to the 11 and the 5. They’ve been head and shoulders above the field this whole round
The whole season really, for anyone who paid attention to speed, and didn't buy into the 24/late summer 29 stretch.

No one said he was.

He was talking about the entire field.

They went split screen with a camera sitting on Chase for no reason and Rick Allen literally says "Well that's not gonna make the Chase Elliott fans very happy."

So yes, everyone knew what he meant except USA and Rick Allen

Remember when every single NBC guy picked Bubba to be out after the Round of 16?

lol
To be fair I think a lot of other people didnt think he would advance to the next round. He proved them wrong myself included.

So my second favorite driver takes out my favorite driver and ruins his chance to advance and championship***. Coooooollllll😒😒

***im under no delusions, the 22 never had the speed to win the championship or deserved it this year.

Didn't realize you were speaking to the broadcast.

Then yes. Rick needs to know that because he doesn't know what's going on. Ever.

34+, Kyle Larson is already doomed
Tbf I think he’s shown a hell of a lot of improvement on plate racing and has run up front this year. I remember even JJ wasn’t the best at plate racing but when he started out but ended up winning quite a few of them.

Go check JJ's Daytona stats. He was always solid at superspeedways. I'd argue that he regressed later on in his career, was always wrecking.

Jimmie was winning plate races throughout his career though.

Bud shootout in 05 (year 4), think he got a duel win around then too. 500 win in 06, Talladega in 06. Talladega in 2011. Swept Daytona in 2013.

Between points and not points races, I'm pretty sure he's won over 10 races at super speedways.

Larson is in year 9 and hasn't won once. I don't think he's even had a top 10 finish in years

It’s not even that Larson is bad at it. He gets in wrecks other people cause or has weird stuff happen to him like the team leaving something in front of the radiator or getting stuck after avoiding a wreck and having a flat tire.

He also just makes bad decisions, and puts himself in vulnerable spots.

I would say he's pretty bad at it.
