MLB 2023 Season

At first I did also. But yeah that last angle I was like yeaaaah. He’s out. Damn
Gifted us a run right there when he threw it into the stands.

You guys should get a call back here

I think it comes down to they called it on the field, if he missed whatever he saw they couldn't see what he saw different enough to change it.

It happens tho. Braves have had all game to do something, and that won’t be what causes them to lose here if they do. But damn. Just wow.
The weird part was Murphy reacted like something happened.

What a play by Trea Turner to get the Phillies out of a jam in the 8th

Thanks I think your guys will come vmback stronger on Monday. At least that weird call wasn't the difference
Yeah, just something was off a bit tonight. Monday should be fun. But lol yeah same. Can’t be to upset about it since that run taken away, and still 2-0

You played better than the Dodgers holy cow Kershaw got lit up only got 1 out and gave up 6 earned.

Playoff Kershaw should be studied. He’s a different player in the postseason, sans the COVID year.
They always talk about the guys who come alive in October...I think he dies under the pressure.

This was the most exciting thing at Orioles Park today

I just not gonna watch.
Same.

Winning the division was fun. In the end, the AL East was the weakest division in the American League.

Hopefully the Os improve next year. Still a young team with a hell of a farm.

I expect the Yankees to spend another $50 million and load up though.

The AL East was not the weakest division lol, it was clearly the Central.

Hal is gonna bring in some consultants (probably some buddies of his) for a process audit and then ignore any useful suggestions they may actually have.

Left too many runners on, can't leave runs on the board against that offense.

Agree AL East was the only division with 4 teams over .500 Couldnt find total wins for each division and I don't feel like adding it up, but I'd bet AL East had the most wins .

Not only did Jacksonville beat the Bills, so did the Jets.

I really believe Dave Roberts used all of his postseason luck when he stole that base in the 2004 ALCS for the Red Sox.

The Dodgers need to move on. They build competitive team after competitive team and all they have to show for it is a World Series in a shortened season.

Nah. Let them keep sucking.

I hope we don't have to deal with the ****** Rays again.

Oh poor Andy.

The Os had an outstanding season but they’re not a playoff ready team yet. Hopefully they’re not a one off and can keep this level of play next year.

I was hoping they’d cause some troubles for teams like the Astros and Rays.

But hell, maybe I’m talking out of my ass and they pull a Red Sox type comeback. Losing like this to the Rangers of all teams must be pretty embarrassing.

The new playoff format sucks honestly. Rangers got red hot at the right time.

And in the end, the AL East was the worst division in baseball when it mattered.

Oops. Wtf I forgot mlb has that stupid best of 3-5-7 format. At least they got rid of the 1 game format which was hideous, still though it’s awful.

Yeah I’ve always hated this format.

The one game wild card was slightly better IMO. Though I didn’t like it either.

This one week off for the best two teams was the difference maker. The Rangers got red hot, took full advantage, while the Orioles cooled off with that week off.

The most painful part of it all is that we could end up with an Astros/Dodgers World Series in the end. Which would set baseball back.

At the end of the day, the Rays are a poverty franchise that will continuously make the playoffs but do fall on their face. Like the Dodgers, they only performed in a Mickey Mouse season.

The Orioles look like they could be the real deal in the future years. They smartly executed a rebuild and actually built a sustainable franchise. They just need to actually spend and supplement their young core.

I had a feeling the Rangers would do this after the way they took care of Tampa Bay.

They peaked at the best possible time, and the playoff format rewarded them greatly for it.

The fairest playoff format is the old full season format where the two best teams in each league faced off in the World Series. But much like NASCAR, the ship has sailed on that one.

The playoffs in any sport are basically a game of maintaining motivation and riding momentum. That's why teams like the Rays and Dodgers aren't successful in the playoffs and why teams like the Pats were successful with Brady. You need to have leaders who can pull the team together in the crunch.
