While it's improving, I'm not ready to call Legacy a decent outfit.I would like to see Heim get a full time cup ride with a decent organization. It seems like the logical step would be to get him into a 3rd legacy car.

What do you think I have been complaining about all year? Doesn't change the fact that he almost won the regular season championship.Chasey isn't fast. Period.
Well he started off with a team that was on the verge of closing down and moved to one that no longer has a charter compared to someone else being at JGR the entire time.Really? Maybe we should start a thread of winless prospects. What would be the explanation for Gragson?
Let's not let the facts get in the way of a good argument.Well he started off with a team that was on the verge of closing down and moved to one that no longer has a charter compared to someone else being at JGR the entire time.
If we want to have a discussion about how Monster spends their money, I think the discussion can be had Monster is wasting their money on The Preacher’s Grandson. If he doesn’t win this season, I think we could be chartering on bust territory. The body of work THUS far……leaves a lot to be desired.Hey Monster, stop wasting your money on Herbst and put it behind a winner.
Brian France to the 'Old No. 7'.Brian France to the 23
Not sure where you are going with that question. I don’t recall saying he was disgruntled.I missed the part where Heim is disgruntled. Please post.
Is anyone ever 'gruntled'?Not sure where you are going with that question. I don’t recall saying he was disgruntled.
I believe I am.Is anyone ever 'gruntled'?
Literally nobody seems be worked up over Cory's situation expect SOU.Not sure where you are going with that question. I don’t recall saying he was disgruntled.
He doesn't seem upset. There is a reason.Well he started off with a team that was on the verge of closing down and moved to one that no longer has a charter compared to someone else being at JGR the entire time.
Kind interesting from the bring back the Winston Cup points system, isn't it?What do you think I have been complaining about all year? Doesn't change the fact that he almost won the regular season championship.
Sure, and Toyota acknowledges this. WE want the first shot at the talent. If it doesn't work out, then the other manufacturers have at it. What the hell is wrong with that? Somehow, some around here see giving a driver a chance, and cutting them loose when it doesn't work out is wrong.Definitely, but without Cup cars to put that talent in, the drivers inevitably look to other manufacturers. Why would Ford and Chevy bother when Toyota is doing the work for them?
I'd agree with this....he has shown speed, but it is time.If we want to have a discussion about how Monster spends their money, I think the discussion can be had Monster is wasting their money on The Preacher’s Grandson. If he doesn’t win this season, I think we could be chartering on bust territory. The body of work THUS far……leaves a lot to be desired.
I think that Jones is fine.....arguably so is Gibbs. Herbst? Sheesh. What more do we need to see that he is not talented?Gibbs, Herbst & to some extent Jones are not getting the most out of what they’ve been given. IDK if this is any concern to Toyota or if they relinquish all that sort of things to the teams.
One year ago, the narrative was so different. Many do not understand the difference between a Tier 1 and an affiliate...then run their mouths for some strange approval around here. While it's improving, I'm not ready to call Legacy a decent outfit.
He’s shown promise driving superior JGR equipment at every level. Thins more or less have evened out when he made it to CupI dont like Ty at all, but the kid has promise and has shown some flashes of being good. My issue is with JGR in that drivers with better results were shown the door in the past.
Yea Legacy is night and day from last year. Folks are still making jokes about their management structure or their “lack of speed”. Those same folks haven’t been paying attention this yearOne year ago, the narrative was so different. Some are listening to yota shills like the gerbils and other flatulence, some look at the results. 22nd and 23rd?Yea Legacy is night and day from last year. Flatulence....good word. What's Alexander think? Some are listening to yota shills like the gerbils and other flatulence, some look at the results. 22nd and 23rd?
You will never get an argument from me that the Latford System weighted consistency too much and success too little. That being said, I will go to my grave believing that it could still form the framework for a points system VASTLY superior to anything we have had since.Kind interesting from the bring back the Winston Cup points system, isn't it?
Nothing wrong with it but why give your opponents the benefit of your time, effort, and dollars?Sure, and Toyota acknowledges this. WE want the first shot at the talent. If it doesn't work out, then the other manufacturers have at it. What the hell is wrong with that? I won't claim to know the difference. I do know the Legacy teams' results are the weakest of the Yoyo cars. I'm not informed enough to say whether it's the cars, team resources, or drivers (but I lean toward the latter, esp. Nemo). One year ago, the narrative was so different. While I preferred Latford, I wouldn't revert to it intact. I could live with the current points system if 'Win and you're in' was dropped and the race winner received more points than anyone else (say, 70 or 75).You will never get an argument from me that the Latford System weighted consistency too much and success too little. That being said, I will go to my grave believing that it could still form the framework for a points system VASTLY superior to anything we have had since.
He wasn't doing much in the #48 for his last few years there either. I think his Legacy performance says more about him at this stage of his career that it says about his cars.Ol 7 time did not do so well in the legacy cars
Is he??? I would maybe agree a couple years ago, but that seems to have worn off.Bubba has really stepped up since Indy. Besides, he's sponsor gold.
There are lots of things that explain performance, but one of the most significant was that Jimmie insisted on being a Tier 1 team. All of the information that JGR got without the people to manage it. Jimmie changed personnel.....they learned how to use the information.....and here we go. Erik and JHN have been getting better. It's a great story that some will not allow around here.I won't claim to know the difference. I do know the Legacy teams' results are the weakest of the Yoyo cars. I'm not informed enough to say whether it's the cars, team resources, or drivers (but I lean toward the latter, esp. Nemo).
I remember Brian France running Legends cars in the early 90's. He sacrificed it all to give us the chase and labored and worked so hard for us through many sufferings untll something snapped.Brian France to the 23
as he was running those cars he was thinking " You know what would be a great way to crown a champion?? A points reset with 10 races to go that nullifies the previous 26 races and sets everyone up at 0 for a 10 race SPRINT to the finish. Quintessential NASCAR. Put the burned out man in the Nascar Hall of Fame ( Dammit! He is part of the French Dynasty)
And my best ideas always come from good cocaine. I think we need a new car, I'll talk to the guys tomorrow about it. I wonder what we could call it.as he was running those cars he was thinking " You know what would be a great way to crown a champion?? More like what our Founding Fathers called "the French Disease".He is part of the French Dynasty
I'm guessing RC was aware of this deal before it was signed. At this point the 8 needs to go in a different direction, either the guy holding the wheel or the guy on the boxTrackhouse gets their engines from RCR. Makes me wonder how well that deal is going to go.
No it's def the spotter.I'm guessing RC was aware of this deal before it was signed. At this point the 8 needs to go in a different direction, either the guy holding the wheel or the guy on the box
