Cup RACE thread --- Kansas

Letarte and Burton trying to cover for Hamlin and the fact….HE KNOCKED HIS OWN CAR OUT OF A GUARANTEED FINAL 8 BERTH. You can’t write this $hit

Chase was 9th at the restart

Brian France is smiling somewhere right now, "I told y'all with the playoffs we'd have game seven moments and exciting races. 😂😂

I've said for years that Denny is his own worst enemy. HE is the reason he'll never win a Championship.
He deserves it this year.

He is my bold prediction to win it all this year, plus the pivotal driver I need to win in another league.

Fantastic final hour minus IMSA trying to commit murder on the GTD dead center of the track at night.

I have considered using my real name "CooterJohnsonsJuniorsIII" as my user name. But it might be hard for people to remember, land lots of energy could be taken with the extra characters over the lifetime of a posters career. We are only given so many keystrokes in this life, and every one of them is precious.

.. and so forth and what not, etc...

Limiting the keystrokes is one of my green initiatives and sacrifices to limit global warming cause Greg or Cooter really cares.

Another downside with using my real name is that CooterJohnsonsJuniorsIII might seem a little uppity or high-minded. Being uppity would go against my fine tradition of being one of the humblest, most down to earth humble posters that one will have the good fortunate to encounter.

So I just just went with Greg as a user name to ensure that the even the liitle people could talk to good old down to earth Greg, cause Greg really cares and even wants the lowest unaccomplished person to feel special while I am so graciously sharing my time with them.

... I hope you appreciate it, and have the good sense not to waste it...
.

I dunno about 'gringo', those look legit to me.

I love a good corn tortilla. Back in SC the was a little tienda near the house that had them fresh. They must have done a huge business on them since they stored them in one of those 250qt coolers. Lift the lid on that sucker and the warm corn aroma smacked you right in the face. Mom wouldn't wait the mile or so back to the house; she'd start munching them in the car.

If all the rouge states like Canada and Greenplace would just get in line we would not need the tariffs.

#StopForcingTariffsCanada!

He never was given a chance lol. BTW how is ol' win less Reddick doing? 23 tennis shoe getting their sniping monies worth lol.

Oh Dennis….

Man what an azz. But he is exactly like 99% of the rest of the folks that come thru Nascar. Extremely arrogant and absolutely certain they are right. Only driver I've ever heard talk that isn't like that is Bill Elliott. He owned his mistakes. Their biggest failing is also what makes them great.

Man, I am the odd man out here. I think everyone is giving Denny a little too much of a hard time. He's racing for the win and that move was pretty tame racing for the win compared to some of the other stuff we have seen that was defended like when Larson used Chase up at the Glen in 22 just for example. Also - I can't imagine how harsh the critics would have been had it appeared that he let Bubba win that race. I will say I am surprised at how bummed Denny was after the race.

As for Chase, this was obviously a great win and an example of what this team can do when they execute all weekend and I'm happy to continue to see this more aggressive version of Chase. I don't think he's ever going to rack up a 6-7 win season in this car but he will get his as he has this year when the team puts weekends together like this.

As great as it was for Chase to get this win, I am still concerned that Chevy does not have the raw speed to win a title. Team Penske owned New Hampshire and the Toyotas looked poised to sweep the top-5 yesterday. I will be exceptionally shocked if it's not a Ford or Toyota winning the title but here's hoping I guess. Awesome job to Chase.......I just wish he'd lose the mustache. LOL.

It was a truly glorious outcome and event ending. The narcissist Hamturd pushing for HIS victory, giving no thought to THE BIG PICTURE, running his own employee’s car up into the wall and almost guaranteeing he doesn’t advance in the playoffs. Now the arrogant Hambone asserts he was coasting and braking well in advance of his encounter with Wallace! Well, that 11 car must be faster than goose s#*+ if it won’t slow down for all that effort!

Hamdump is straight out of a cartoon….what a maroon! 😂🤣

Love the smoke out the asses this morning. Denny raced for the win without power steering. Wouldn't have it any other way. Makes me puke that The Chain Gang benefitted, but every now and then the blind squirrel gets the nut. Sound the horn, and all of that other crap....better find some speed because WE are lights out right now....and I love it.

The 11was that fast. Nobody close.....until the steering....and then he was still faster. The big picture is that he is going to Charlotte with little to worry about. Mission accomplished. Hate it for Bubba.
Ownwr Hamlin's obligations to 23XI end when driver Hamlin gets in the JGR car. At that point, Wallace and Reddick are just two of 35 other competitors.
That opposite of that was the narrative that the yappers around here had prepared going into 3.

Consider that being the odd man out isn't that difficult....this the same yapper group that pounces on Toyota stuff. They will have a great week when the real issue is that Toyotas are badass fast. I would rather have this **** go on than to explain why MY cars are slow. Lucky for Chase, but this isn't a fast car race is it. He did what he needed to do. Merry Christmas.
TRD’s cheerleader has been oddly quiet. Maybe he’s perfecting the requisite talking points
No different than when WE win. I have no problem with the way MY guys raced. WE are fast. Love it. Hated the ending, but you kids have your fun. Hamlin in great shape heading into the Roval. Mission accomplished. MY three big guns are all in great shape.
I want to hear @Revman alibi this B.S. lol.
He raced the way I would expect him to. I have no problem with what he did. Battled his ass off for 50 laps. Owed it to himself and his team to send it. Go back to your X session.

This honestly made me laugh.....the thing I love the most is that MY Toyotas are seen as a team when The Chain Chang et al. are seen as a team. Love my OEM, but the truth is that MY guys were all fighting for themselves....as it should be.

Denny Hamlin.....+48 to the cut. Love it. Bring that car to Vegas with a new steering rack. Sleep well kids.

Denny did what he's paid to do, and that's to try and win the race. Also, there is a rule about team orders and stuff. If Hamlin lets Bubba win, he'd get criticized for that too.

I don't hate on Hamlin like others though. I think he's good for the sport.

I guess he didn't consider the power steering issues when he made the move on Bubba.

He seemed pretty disappointed when he got out of the car.

I agree with you about Bill Elliott, but I have to add Alex Bowman's name to that list also. He always takes credit for his screwups, and I have never heard him try to throw anyone under the bus.

Chase was in the top 5 all day. Probably had nothing for Denny, but I think he could go heads up against the rest of the Toyotas. You had just better hope the chain gang doesn't find another tenth or two in the next few weeks. The gap is narrowing.
