Underrated/Overrated Things

Underrated: Amazon Prime

Get a call after midnight last night from my daughter telling me that she has a mouse in her dorm room. 4:30am this morning I ordered a 6-pack of mouse trap on Amazon. 9:00am I get the email that they've been delivered and are ready for pick up. 9:20am, my daughter picked them up from the local Amazon pickup location. 9:30am 4 mouse traps baited and set. Now..... waiting for results.

There are a lot of other things that make that $99/year Amazon Prime fee worth every penny but peace of mind is one of them.

Your daughter's school doesn't have somebody to take care of mice? And you have to pay for traps etc.? As if you weren't already paying enough for this school?

I have a solution for mice.

Underrated : Cheetos

Underrated: Moosehead beer. I don't even know if you guys can get this old school stuff where you live but it is still my absolute favorite beer around. I am pretty sure it's Canada's oldest brewery and it's a lager. The only place I can get it is one grocery store chain here. That's it. Of course, Molson Canadian Lager is even hard to get at a bar or restaurant around here, which is my second choice. I don't know what the problem is with getting a beer that tastes like beer?

I haven't had a Moosehead for some time but Molson and Labatt's Blue are common in MN liquor stores (I'll be looking for Moosehead next time).

Underrated.....

Electric blankets. Haven't used one in decades but I'm under one now turned up to '8' on the dial. -15 outside right now. Too cold for my truck to produce sufficient heat. Probably 80 degrees under this blanket. Hell yeah!
You probably already know this, but the new stuff I hear is really good and that is electric clothing pieces. Overalls, coats, pants gloves etc. Rechargable.

Boy, I could use that. Delivering here in Edmonton @ 7am Friday. Temp is to be -17 @ 7am. I've got to stand outside for the 1 1/2hrs to pump off there. Sucks. The only place in western Canada we don't offload inside a building.

Ouch, pizza of almost any kind being overrated..... As an avid pizza lover, that's a tough take. ;)
It's tough to say, but I'm tired of living 600 miles south of New York but that style of pizza being all that sold locally. Pizza shouldn't need Viagra. It's salvageable if I toss it in the oven at home for another 10 - 15 minutes while the crust finishes baking.

I like making chili beans and usually include mixed vegtables, I wonder if adding in sweet or the normal (white) potatoes would be the better add on.
Over rated - sweet potato casserole. Poor innocent sweets suffocating in a cesspool of brown sugar and maple syrup and marshmallows and pineapple and coconut and candied pecans. No tuber deserves such a fate.

Overrated = Restaurant's that will cost more than $65 per individual meal.

I usually can eat just as good with a $20 to $65 menu.
