Yeah but for how long? Quick shower or steady all day?

Are there lights at this track?

Forecast I posted above says steady all day until 4 to 6 in the afternoon, no lights.

So the owner wants a night race there and the place has no lights? C'mon now.

There was an agreement when the track was built that there'd be no night racing but I think that may have changed.

Obviously he'd set up lights in the future.

Didn't I read he wanted one for next year or something? It was on some article here. Dont know the validity of it but lets say he means for next year. I highly doubt that process takes less than a year to complete.

Milwaukee used to use temporary lighting for Nationwide night races.

Ok, now that the Nationwide race is finished in Kentucky...I'm ready for some Cup racing in New Hampshire. I hope I don't sound too eager.:D

Us Ozzies have bee thinking Marcos has been doing pretty well in cup racing until we see 300/1.
GEEEZAS!! that's horrible.

Great. I've got school on Monday.

I guess I should actually consider this a good thing since I have school work I haven't finished yet.

Looks like mother nature is mad today. Raining here since late afternoon here too.

4am..Raining like mad.....Pouring at the campsite here at the speedway . Radar shows clearing out by 9 ish.... Lets go racing...

Yeah they used to have those prison spotlights right?
Prison spotlights? lol, no. They had big construction site type industrial lighting things set up outside the grandstands aiming in at the track. I went to all those races. Worked fine, I've been to Chicagoland for Cup/IndyCar night races and couldn't tell the difference between that and permanent lighting.

Stopped raining....Radar looks promising ....Going to Town for breakfast with the Boss...and I hope to hear JET DRYERS upon return ...

Kind of similar. lol

I saw a few races there and I remember seeing the lights inside the track, barely outside the barriers.

Kind of like those but not quite.

I looked at radar and it looks like the rain is going to be gone soon. Theres a wall of rain to the east of the track and moving northeast away from the track. There was a bigger blip to the south but it looks like in following the rest north east it may miss the track. Here's hoping.

For those of you who don't live on the east coast, the weather here is completely unpredictable. Especially the closer it gets to the ocean

Chicagoland has had permanent lighting for about five years.

I don't think they ever used portable lights there.

Yeah, that's my point. There was little difference between permanent lighting (at Joliet) and the temporary lighting (at Milwaukee), in my opinion.

National Weather Service radar looks like the rain is moving away from the area, but as previous posters have stated, weather in the northeast can be unpredictable at best. Kind of like Texas. Or the midwest. Hell, anyplace other than San Diego.

'RIP MWR' predominantly displayed by the posers in the dork gallery on Raceday.

Are they fat also Matt?

I liked the segment on Race Day of Kyle Busch trying to kick a field goal at the New England Patriots practice. He had better stick to racing.:D

So nascar has hired Grechen Wilson to try to hype the sport up more?

Kid Rock at least had more than one hit song.
He had some good songs, but I still liked Gretchen better. I actually met him and Pamela Anderson when thay were a couple and he was sponsoring a Top Fuel Dragster.
