New Hampshire Pre Race Thread

FS1 has alot of work to do. They have some horrible shows.
 
i'm sorry, I am frankly insulted as a race fan to have a guy running around making car noises and he is their idea of race coverage, and their first topic is football right after qualifying, can't even mention who won the pole as a segway.

I hope I don't spoil it for you but it was Newman.

Seriously though, I really don't get the big deal. It's a sports channel. It's not only about auto racing. Then again, there's a FS1 thread to talk about all of that crap.

Who's going to win this race?

I'm guessing Gordon.

Some family is coming over Sunday and the big TV in the Florida room is going to be on the saints game but I'll be barricaded and exiled in my world with my 42" TV and my computer, I think that's the one with the ball with the pointy ends.

I've got to work on Sunday but the weather at the track makes me think that I may be watching in on Monday anyhow.

It wasn't race coverage. That guy was just been a douchebag.

that was the way I thought about it, he was making fun..had a lot of that over the years for being a "redneck" racing fan..looked like more of the same to me..So yeah, I didn't think it was funny

No doubt the latter lost some of that tire goodies on that second lap. His first lap was like 20th or something.
 
I committed the sin of not padding my recording by 30 minutes and missed the end of qualifying. I know better and should have used my DirecTV phone app to extend it. Totally forgot.

I'm stoked that the 24 is starting 3rd. After struggling so much on qualifying over most of the 1st 25 races it's good to see that team stepping it up. Obviously a nice Job by the 39 and 5 as well.

If one has to be barricaded, that's the way to do it. A refrigeration unit and attached bathroom would make it about perfect.
 
Im thinking Newman has a good shot in this race. He seems to do well on flat tracks, plus his car obviously already has speed in it. Bowyer usually does well here too.

We'll see.

He doesn't have a good record when getting the pole. He usually drops like a rock. Also I believe he's got better cars all over him.

EDIT:

Just looked at the stats. He does have two wins from the pole at this very track. Interesting.

New Hampshire wants night race next season: New Hampshire Motor Speedway general manager Jerry Gappens said the track has requested a night race for 2014. NASCAR has not released the schedule. "I haven't gotten a response back from NASCAR," he said. "I plan to address it with them this weekend." While many NASCAR venues have struggled with dwindling attendance woes, Gappens said New Hampshire was close to selling out the 93,500-seat track on Sunday.
 
Every second date track should have a night race imo.

I really hope someone puts up the FS2 stream for the Modified tour race.
