Let's explore the evidence.

Here's the conclusion of the 2006 Daytona 500, where the caution is thrown just moments before Jimmie Johnson comes to the line to score the victory.

Here's the finish of the fall race at Talladega that same year, just months before Mark Martin got boned. Notice how NASCAR throws the caution in the middle of a battle for the win.

Now, let's fast forward to this random Talladega race in 2012 finishing ... under caution.

Here's the finish of the 2014 Daytona 500, with a situation identical to the conclusion of the 2007 Daytona 500. Notice what happens here? Yep, a caution flag.

One year later, the Daytona 500 again finishes ...... under caution

Here's the first piece of evidence filed by NASCAR this weekend, the Brennan Poole screw job.

And then Sunday's finish, where NASCAR throws the caution like 100 feet away from the checkered flag.

I'm sure there are plenty more piece of evidence to support my case.

I rest my case.

let it go dude, mark always finish second.

You have a better chance of seeing Kate Upton walk inside your house and stripping all her clothes off than you have of seeing me "let it go". My name ain't Elsa, so I ain't gonna let it go.
well then rock on , nothing going to change he didn't win.

What's Mark doing nowadays? He's not at the track like so many ex drivers....

Mark Martin racing stats:

Countless ASA wins.
Five IROC championships.
41 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series wins.
2007 Daytona 500 champion.
1990 NASCAR Winston Cup Series champion.

A great old school racer that I will always respect. I prefer to think of him and respect him for the real accomplishments, rather than for some revisional fantasy.

Mark the kid in the ASA driving his way to the top. Fighting to make it to Nascar Cup racing in the old apache stove car, knocked down or back to ASA. Coming back wiser, smarter better and the anchor for Jack Rouschs team, is a great story in his own right. It was a great story.

Mark Martin will always be great without a Cup title or the 500, and thats the reality. A great one that needs no alteration.

Proof..

Wasn't Regan below the line?

He was forced down. NASCAR boned him. Just like they boned Robby Gordon the year before at Montreal, when penalizing him after Marcos Ambrose intentionally wrecked him under caution... which is actually supporting evidence in the "Brennan Poole got the screw job" theory.

So NASCAR isn't a place for those practicing abstinence...

Don't forget the time NASCAR took a win away from Ricky Rudd at Sonoma for "rough driving".

Excuse me, but did you say anything else after Kate Upton stripping in my house?

I thought fanboi stuff was unacceptable here....or is that just when it's Kyle Busch? #AskingForAFriend

Nice....

Mark is happy with his career so I am too. But it still burns when I think of two HUGE accomplishments he got screwed out of and even more when I think of the two who benefitted. DE not as much because he was a great driver and good guy off the track. But KH is a POS who has 2 huge trophies he shouldn't.....

While on the subject though Bill Eliot won the 97 500 Gordon passed him on the apron

aww I have watched a couple races that if the caution had come out at the right time dale jr would have won. remember when lagano won instead last year at dega? or a couple years ago JR was out on old tires at darlington they could have thrown the caution and he would have won it, which BTW I know dale jr really really wants to win at darlington, it would be like the martinsville win. a dale jr win in both those cases would have been way more popular. but thats not how it ended up.

But wit a second..... NASCAR throws cautions all the time to help Dale Jr out. Why not when it'll give him the win? You're almost making it sound like NASCAR's impartial and we all know that's not true..... right? :D
