There's like 55 cars at Lincoln Park tonight for IRA/Maverick. Should be an excellent show (watching Heat #2 now).
 
Sounds like a terrible situation at Jacksonville Speedway tonight

No real details have come out officially and all I can find online is people saying what they think happened. It seems to be a very bad accident where a car went into the infield and seems to have made contact with a person or people...there are injuries.

Positive thoughts for all.
 
Dunno if anyone was watching last night on Flo, but Devon Borden got totally screwed on a call during the Lincoln round of PA Speedweeks. They charged him with jumping the start about 30 laps after the fact and pushed him back from the lead to 3rd. Anthony Macri won but it likely would have been a barn burner finish with Borden had they not done that. Worse yet: He didn't seem to jump the start.
 
This was my first ever visit to Skagit Speedway for their 360 Summer Nationals. What a great venue with unbelievable racing action. The final night saw Dominic Gordon and Trey Starks battling for the lead for the first 15 laps. I mean these guys were slicing, dicing and sliding with jaw dropping moves. Then came a red and Gordon failed to fire and had to start at the tail with 25 laps remaining. Watching him charge back up to 2nd was worth 4 weeks worth of admission. He never got to really challenge Starks at the end for the win, but what a run to witness.

I am sure some of you know about Skagit, but this was my first visit and I would rate it as one of the top 5 dirt tracks in the country. Honestly behind Eldora and Knoxville I would place it right next to Port Royal. I can't even imagine a 410 show here. If you ever get anywhere near this joint, stop by for a race.
