Silly Season 2025

Have to wonder how much this decision has to do with talent and how much it has to do with mahindra tractors.

I like Chase but I just wish it wasn't JGR

There's more than that when it comes to JGR. A lot of good drivers have gone thru there without "fitting in". Joey Logano is exhibit A

True but JGR has always had drivers competing for the win every week, SHR hasn't.
SHR is par with RCR, they haven't been a dominant or competitive organization for a long time.

Yep, I am kinda in the same boat. I think they took the money and not the best talent that was available. Eh, time will tell.

Why are they even wasting everyone's time with a press conference? The industry as a whole does a really good job of holding press conferences to tell us something everyone already knows

Photo ops, sponsor plugs, maybe a switch from 19-18, an opportunity for Joe to thank God and pray, answer some softball questions, smile for more photo ops.

Because it's a big damn deal to some of us. When you have a big damn deal, you have a press conference. Cool thing is that if a guy doesn't give a ****, he doesn't have to pay attention to it.

Dude. Come on. Briscoe is a solid choice for that ride....and you and I both know that money will always be a part of that choice. Hey, still interested in that KB Prize Pack? Better hurry, supplies are limited.

Does it come with the Chicken Tendies from Cheddar’s? Not gonna lie, those tendies might be the best I’ve ever had.

Never been to a Cheddars.....Are we talking crispy with just the right amount of breeding.....and no ****** tendons, right? Key question....Are they so good that they don't need sauce?

So are we waiting until after the announcement before Rev makes a Chase Briscoe appreciation thread?

I ate them without the sauce and with their sauce. It was good either way, I wouldnt steer you wrong.

I’m thinking as an arm chair analyst (this couch sure is comfy) that it might be as simple as Smoke may have just wanted out. If you remember Haas Racing was a one car team before Smoke signed on, maybe Gene just wanted to go back to that while hanging onto a single charter as charter prices continue to go up and see how it went as a single car. It’s intriguing they’re keeping two Xfinity teams, that’s good for the series.
All possible, but if that's what Gene wanted, that could have been spelled out when the team breakup was announced.
No comment on the NASCAR side of things, but Ford will be offering power units in F1 come 2026, and those ain't cheap.
Ok, well that's certainly offers an angle I haven't heard elsewhere or considered. Still, it seems there would be more efficient ways of ensuring Ford's continued numbers than dangling carrots in from of Gene to continue to run teams he seems to have little interest in or much talent to do so.

For me, the meat is just a delivery system for the sauce.

A lot of breading.

I'm kind of shocked JGR isnt bringing back the 18, they have zero heritage with the 19.

Agreed. 18 is the original JGR number, thanks to Rick Hendrick, who helped Gibbs get into racing. And Joe took the number and ran with it. They should definitely bring it back

California Dreaming in Cola, Charleston, Myrtle Beach SC, etc. Huge tenders that I suspect are marinated in buttermilk. Batter is incredibly light, almost like a tempura. Crunchy without being greasy, so they must get the oil good and hot! Honey mustard by default, barbeque if you prefer, just as good when they're nekkid.

If Bass Pro is sticking around they have stock in the #19

Is Bass Pro really that tied to one number? They sponsor multiple teams already.

This reminds me of when Hendrick dumped the 5 for a couple of years. It just feels wrong.

they didnt win a championship with MTJ in the 19. Probably making a mountain out of a mole hill but I think whatever stock they thought they had in the 19, well that would merge well with the stock JGR has with the 18 imo. I think a Bass Pro 18 would look neat and probably sell a few caps or shirts as well.

So judging from how Bass Pro is staying with the 19 and JGR, does that cross off Noah from going to RCR, unless Austin steps aside and hands the keys over of the 3 to Noah. Which I dont at all see happening.

Not sure Richard has the means to secure a charter now that Gene is keeping one. We know Front Row is getting one, Denny all but said 23XI will be getting one and I can't see a scenario where Trackhouse doesn't need one.

I think you're right.

Come December, I bet we'll get an announcement from JGR, giving Toddler Ty the 18. It's inevitable
I think as long as Monster is around, it will be the 54.

You don't think Richard could outbid front row for that charter?
