Hooters has closed down a number of places recently. Under performers. I haven't heard of a new CEO, that could for sure do it to sponsorship.Rumors on Reddit are Hooters has left Chase Elliott and HMS.

Yep posted about it in sponsorship thread. Not that huge as they don't sponsor as much as NAPA does.Rumors on Reddit are Hooters has left Chase Elliott and HMS.
From a fan perspective, it isn't so much the amount of sponsorship as it is the loss of an iconic sponsorship. But sponsors come, sponsors go.Yep posted about it in sponsorship thread. Not that huge as they don't sponsor as much as NAPA does.
Yeah that is a good move. I hope Berry can make something out of that ride. I think it is there but it isn't going to be easy, that is a small team. I hope they can get help from the Penske bunch.Would be nice to see the 21 competitive again, hasn't been since blaney was in it.

Don't let it fool you the 21 is a Penske car. Listen to Chase talk on Stacking pennies he talked with Penske about being in the 21 way before he even actually met anyone from Wood Brothers.Would be nice to see the 21 competitive again, hasn't been since blaney was in it.
How do you not go with Rodney? We can already see what is growing there.I think they can be with Josh, but it sounds like Rodney Childers isn't going in a package deal. Not sure Jeremy Bullins is the answer, but time will tell.
Genes money is strongHow do you not go with Rodney? We can already see what is growing there.
Or someone else's could be too.Genes money is strong
It's a good move for the Wood Brothers when compared to young Harry, but unless they get some really good help from Penske, it might not be that great for Berry. They at least have to get up to Berry's/Childers SHR's level I would think out of the box.Or someone else's could be too.
I think this is a good move for Berry and the Wood Brothers.
DiBenedetto gave it a pretty good ride and came close to winning several times. Unfortunately it’s more overshadowed by how that partnership ended and some misplaced expectations on Matt’s side.Would be nice to see the 21 competitive again, hasn't been since blaney was in it.
If Gene wants to Keep Rodney for Custer I think he can win the bidding war, that's all I was sayingOr someone else's could be too.
I think this is a good move for Berry and the Wood Brothers.
He was on Sirius and said he wants to keep racing, win a Daytona 500 and another Championship. How do we even know Rodney wants to continue the everyday grind and every week travel of being a Cup crew chief? I could see him entering into late models with Harvick, CC’ing those cars
Easy now! Let's not facts get in the way of a good argumentHe was on Sirius and said he wants to keep racing, win a Daytona 500 and another Championship.
No man, not arguing with Jorge, just letting him know what I heard.Easy now! Let's not facts get in the way of a good argument

Cheeky. But I didn’t hear the Sirius interview because I don’t have Sirius.Easy now! Let's not facts get in the way of a good argument

That a good reason, one I share.Cheeky. But I didn’t hear the Sirius interview because I don’t have Sirius.

If the team is staying Pat on all personnel, then they are saying everything wrong was the driver. I believe he was Penske's choice. The 21 is a Penske team
Maybe. Harrison sounds like a great NASCAR driver, but maybe he isn't?If the team is staying Pat on all personnel, then they are saying everything wrong was the driver. I believe he was Penske's choice.

Didnt Harrison bring Dex imaging? If the team is staying Pat on all personnel, then they are saying everything wrong was the driver. I believe he was Penske's choice.
YesDidnt Harrison bring Dex imaging?
Great interview....but I don't think his ceiling is high behind the wheel. My two cents.Huh? I don't follow

Sponsor doesn't drive the car, just makes it look pretty on the hook.Didnt Harrison bring Dex imaging?
So looks like Roger is gonna float the full ride. Maybe we will get another surprise soon and Rodney announces for the 21. He said he wanted another Title and Daytona 500 and I dont see him getting that with Custer. So does he want that, or Genes money? Its not like Rodney is poor.
Great interview....but I don't think his ceiling is high behind the wheel. My two cents.
Then I ask again, why stay pat on all personnel?Yes.
The driver. The crew chief. The left front tire changer. The guy who puts on the wrap. All Penske choices
What do you mean? I was referring to Harrison bringing in moneySponsor doesn't drive the car, just makes it look pretty on the hook.
I don't think him losing his ride has anything with the money. It may have bought him an extra year in the car. What do you mean? I was referring to Harrison bringing in money
On the contrary, I was saying he got the ride because he brought money. All the Wood Brothers need is a new Driver and engineering help. Everyone wants to talk about teams with better equipment, no such thing, everything is the same you just need someone who can drive it and engineers to tell you whats wrongI don't think him losing his ride has anything with the money. It may have bought him an extra year in the car.
I think I read not long ago the Wood Brothers has made many changes as to management with new CO.
We will never know but I believe Davey was on his wayOther than Richard Petty and Dale Earnhardt, have there been any second generation drivers that exceeded their parent?
