NFL 2024-2025

2000 was a big year for Bill Belichick. He started coaching the Patriots, they drafted Tom Brady, his girlfriend was born….

I dont think it is a money thing. Belichick just has so much personality and charisma, he is going always attract a lot of wimmins.

Brian Piccolo died in 1970 from cancer but as the story goes it was all about how he lived.

Fast forward to 2024 and still worth remembering...

It’s time for Preseason Overreactions with your host, me.

The Jags playing the Chiefs at Arrowhead South Stadium in Jacksonville as Chiefs fans look forward to their third straight Super Bowl and Jags fans await the excitement and anticipation of another season that is destined to end in disappointment.

I’m choosing not to get worked up over Detroit’s loss to NY. Heck, I hardly recognized any names in the player stats, so likely a bunch of guys who aren’t gonna have much game time during the regular season. No big deal!

I'm kinda satisfied that Matt Judon has been traded. While he is a good player, he was a showboat. Red forearm coverings , temper tantrums at practice, etc. Coach Mayo said , NOPE. Bye bye...

If I was thinking, I probably would have looked up tickets for the KC/Detroit game. Though even as a preseason game, I'd imagine it was probably out of my price range considering it is Kansas City.

Last year my team was going to win the Superbowl after it's dominating preseason performance. This year were going 0-17. So..... Not good.

Go Steelers!

I don't pay attention to final scores in preseason.

The Steelers having a winning season and making the playoffs is a guarantee under Mike Tomlin.

I didn't mention final scores. We lost all of our games last season too. We looked good heading into the season last year. This year, not so much.

Tomlin's in no way a lock, as much as the national talking heads may push that narrative. Heck, making the playoffs means nothing. Winning playoff games does. Haven't tasted that since 2016. That's not good enough. My expectations are higher than that. I'm from Pittsburgh. Time to produce.

The Steelers are at the top of many lists of having the toughest schedule in 2024. Time to see what we're made of.

Can't wait for the season to get started. Sunday Ticket bought and paid for. TV's hung on the wall. It's time for the best sport on this planet to get at it!

Y'all are in a rebuild and still made the playoffs last year in spite of it.

I'd give Tomlin two more years, and if there isn't a deep playoff run by then, then you move on from him. But he's been making the playoffs and winning consistently with a subpar roster. The 2017 team is probably the last time y'all had a lethal roster. (Oops.)

By Pittsburgh standards, the last several seasons are disappointing. By the standards of everywhere else, y'all constantly overachieve. (Though I do agree overachieving might actually be the biggest problem as well.)

I am hoping they solidified the QB situation and there will be some great results.
