Deegan update

Nothing definitive, but sounds like Hailie could be a part of Chip Ganassi Racing’s new two-car Indy NXT (Lights) program in 2025.

There is no new or meaningful news about Deegan today. But I didn’t want the thread about 23XI to feel like it deserved all the pointless attention 😜
Speaking of which, maybe they can give her Bubba's charter spot next year. :D:p

Bubba is a legit top 20 driver. Deegan is not. Had hope but she lacks something for this kinda car and driving that goes beyond a well funded team. Sad I was very optimistic about her for a couple years.

I don't think you can blame AM Racing for her problems, seeing as she was historically bad in top-tier Trucks, but I do think Hailie Deegan is entitled to another chance given what we saw from others in the weeks after in that car.

Time to move this to the Open Wheel forum.
If F1 and IndyCar champs don't have their own threads, I don't see a reason to have one for someone of unproven abilities. Let this one die here. Deegan can be discussed in the '2025 IndyCar News' thread along with all the other drivers (as is already occurring). It's good enough for Dixon and Power and Newgarden and Palou and ...

Starting in 2025, the entire Indy NXT season will be televised by FOX Sports, with most of the races on FS1 and the remaining races on FS2.

So much for her being better than Danica. Seriously, she's young and cute and can still get a few more rides somewhere along the way.

The article didn't mention that pieces were falling off of the 15, sometimes they would fix one issue and another problem would pop up. When Logano said he had to teach the crew chief about air pressures? You would think as they learned more knowledge about racing the car would get better as the season went on, but that didn't appear to be so even with multiple drivers it was hit or miss to see if the car could make it to the finish of the race.
