Silly Season 2025

Yeah, Bob ā€¦ we definitely needed another sign. šŸ™„

Well I mean just cause Hendrick and Bowman said Alex would be in the 48 next year we couldn't be sure until Haley's future was set!

HMS has two champion drivers, 3 if you include Byron's Xfinity title, and a combined 66 race wins on their roster of 4 drivers.

Gibbs has no champions, and a total of 65 career race wins, 54 of them coming from Hamlin.

On the contrary, JGR has the weakest roster they've ever had since expanding to 3 cars
Truex is a Champion...

Relax, it was a joke, normally people realize that with the happy face.
You gotta use the words ā€œI wasnā€™t being serious.ā€ Around here. When you say you was joking you get hit with them saying it wasnā€™t funny so it wasnā€™t a joke, despite you clearly joking around and not being serious.

Don't forget this places notoriously bad sarcasm detector.

On stacking pennies today Corey seemed at peace with being traded to RWR. I think he actually has a lot more to offer that team from a promotional standpoint than Justin.

Not sure we can compare the #7 this year to next with Rodney over there

Maybe Haley sold Brad a load of used Dude Wipes. I can't believe anyone without a tin foil hat thought the Hendrick line-up was going to change.
Maybe not, but it makes you wonder what the end game for Hendrick is. It's not like Spire can't afford to hire their own drivers.

If Hendrick has Haley they sure seem to be building up a roster of people with only one real potential seat. Haley, clear ties to Corey Day, ties to Rajah Caruth. Just not something they've done in a long time.

DBC (yes, I know) said yesterday thereā€™s a rumor that Spire are negotiating with GM to become a Tier 1 partner, and could effectively be a sister/affiliate team of HMS. So thereā€™s that. It seems hard to imagine a team jumping the likes of Trackhouse and RCR, but Spire are on the up and have a lot of resources to offer so I could see why Chevy would be willing to talk.

I'm calling it now.

Somehow Harrison lands in the 6 car in the next... Two or three years, tops.
Brad has an eye for spotting good talent. Just look at where the guys he had in his trucks are now. If he wanted Harrison I think he'd already be hanging around in some capacity.

Harrison Burton? The CUP #6 car? Just asking for clarification, in case one of us inhaled too much VP Racing fuel this weekend...
It's not really farfetched.

Depends on his time in the 15. If he's able to help elevate the program and if it translates into another shot in Cup, a la Custer.

Seen crazier things happen, but it can happen. Just depends on the performance, not saying he can't win a championship in Xfinity. He's still in the Ford Performance pipeline at the end of the day.

Well as long as we are talking farfetched, I don't think Burton running a full season in the 15 will make it into the top 15 in Xfinity next year.

I said a while back he's a mid-pack Xfinity driver at best.

I think when it comes time for Brad to leave the #6, he'll get one of the drivers that can't seem to latch on to a Cup ride.

The 6 car seems better than the 21, Iā€™d like to see Harrison in a better ride, not a car thatā€™s won 4 races since 1994.
The 21 is a Penske car. Chase and Josh both had to talk to Penske about the ride before they even involved the Wood brothers.

That may be so, but I mean letā€™s be honest here, itā€™s getting less support than the 2, 12, and 22. Plus sometimes people donā€™t go well with teams. It happens.
