College Football 2024

Monmouth pulls off the FCS over FBS upset over Florida International. Interestingly they’ve had the same head coach for the entirety of their program’s history and he finally pulled off an FBS win.

Not the return on investment Pitbull was looking for when he bought the naming rights to FIU’s stadium.
 
Kansas State on serious upset alert early in the second half in Provo. Avery Johnson looking like a freshman out there so far.

I can’t say Mizzou are a disappointment yet since they’re 4-0, but they’ve definitely underwhelming so far. They got such a favorable schedule draw I can still see them going 10-2 or so, but I’m not sure even that would be enough to be highly ranked at the end of the season.
 
Rutgers are 4-0 and miss all of Ohio State, Michigan, Oregon, Penn State, and Iowa in Big Ten play.

Ole Miss got one of the best schedule draws you could ask for in the SEC and promptly lose their league opener at home to Kentucky. Can’t afford that if you want to be a playoff team.
 
Is Georgia even trying? As I've said many times, I'm not into college football, but I expected a game between the #2 and #4 team to be more competitive. I guess I'll see what other games are on.
 
I can only follow the scoreboards, still no electricity.

Alabama pretty much owns Georgia anyways. If it weren’t for Bama being without both Jameson Williams and John Metchie for the majority of the national title game three seasons ago it’d probably be a 9-game winning streak in the series for them. Sometimes beating one specific program is your white whale.

Tbh Georgia is still making the playoff so long as they go 9-3 or better. You pretty much have to win one of Texas/Ole Miss/Tennessee and beat everyone you’re supposed to. Then who knows how an expanded playoff will play out.

This team has a lot of work to do if they want a chance to do anything come playoffs. They are way to sloppy
 
Wow, Georgia is actually just mentally crumbling. Very fortunate not to give the ball back to Alabama on the muff there.
