Enough Is Enough Full Season Championship.

"Most" ....there you go again.....51%? Source? The championship gets pretty simple if SVG wins races.
I'll tell ya what. When you can keep up with the ticker on the side of the screen, I'll believe you can keep up with who is who in the points.
I have a feeling that you are just like the rest of us in that if they didn't tell us on the screen who was above or below the "cut line" we wouldn't have a clue most of the time.

With the caveats that teams and drivers would approach races differently under a different system and that Larson missed a full race, this goes to show that there’s still been a solid bunch of about four drivers at the top who’ve been more consistently successful than everyone else and could produce an exciting stretch run without all of the forced theatrics.

You’ve got the winningest driver (Larson), the guys with the most top 5s (Larson/Bell/Reddick), and the guy with the best average finish (Elliott) all in contention together. Works well enough for me.

Yeah that was my point. The competition is so close these days that all of the complicated ups and downs and confusion of this artificial points system they are using isn't needed.
It seems to me that a simpler points system could achieve the same fan interest if it was presented properly. There is plenty there for the press to be able to spin.

Supercars will debut a somewhat similar knockout format in 2025, unsurprisingly to very mixed reactions. Key differences are that the final four drivers will be seeded leading into the ‘Grand Final’ event weekend at Adelaide, which itself is made up of three races (1x100km, 2x250km).

Yeah. Kyle did what other drivers who had a 11 race lead on him couldn't do...
5 wins, 12 top 5s, 16 top 10s , 1 pole...
25 races...
And a Championship..
Kyle played by the rules and won. A conversation about the merits of his championship & NASCAR’s waiver is fair too although I think the subject has been beaten to death.

I think most major racing series will eventually wind up having a playoffs. I can't really fault NASCAR, car reliability is miles ahead of where it was even 30 years ago. The year long title does not make as much sense as it used to, rarely are cars failing due to anything outside of a crash anymore

The guy came back from a broken leg making this a great sports story.....meanwhile we worship a guy who sees NASCAR as a hobby to support dirt, and even is okay skipping a race. Kyle could have said, "Kiss my ass, see ya next year," but chose to participate, and pulled off one of the greatest sports comebacks of all time....but ya know, NASCAR fans....have to find **** in everything. Completely stupid.

My opinion on it is, he won by the rules given. But I personally don’t think he should have been eligible for it. Again that’s my opinion. But i acknowledge by the rules set forth, he did win. Doesn’t mean I have to like it.

You have the old Kyle when he drove for the freaks, and the new Kyle. Revman? well what can ya say, yota king of gaslighting?
The new Kyle is dirt racing with his son, building dirt cars and pavement cars, and once Kyle got away from the loons who live in the bin, he's acquired more fans with a better attitude despite a crappy record than he had with the rice burners.
