Favorite races you have been to

Wow this was fun thinking of all the races that I have been to, most of which were at Phoenix, but still a lot of good memories. 2016 Phoenix Fall Race - Bowman filled in for Dale Jr and killed it all day until the GWC and Kenseth fell asleep at the wheel and caused a huge pileup. Lagano went...

will NASCAR ever run a street circuit and if yes, where?

That sounds like a historical track night, i.e. North Wilkesboro, Rockingham, etc. Trouble with this is that the these particular tracks are in terrible shape and to spend that amount of money to get them into good shape might not be worth it.

will NASCAR ever run a street circuit and if yes, where?

I think that would be a good thing for NASCAR to have one weekend that goes to a different track every year even if it is an exhibition race. Make it a race in the middle of summer. A street circuit in NY one year, then Pikes Peak Raceway in CO, then something in Seattle, etc. It should be held...

    '21 Generation 7 Car news

The fact that NASCAR exists because of stock cars used to bootleg booze isn't evidence enough? "Single-purpose vehicles designed and engineered to race" is what F1 is. They have the best engineering teams in the world. The problem is that they might as well be fighter planes because the racing...

I would love to see this also! I wouldn't mind seeing him in a prototype either.

Yeah I was thinking that too, but in the modern age you would think we would be able to find a way around this by now. I would also think that this would be a safety item manufacturers might want to incorporate into their road cars if they ever figured out a viable solution. I just keep going...

    Jamie McMurray Appreciation Thread

I'm a little disappointed in NASCARs response to Jamie McMurray retiring this year. Not even a post race interview with him? He started in the back and raced his way to the front, leading the Daytona 500 with 20 laps to go. That's a heck of a way to go out! Not to mention he finished in front of...

    '21 Generation 7 Car news

I thought I remember reading that a long time ago when Dodge was first coming back, but I have no link. That would be nice if manufacturers didn't have to enter all three series but I suspect the truck series would go belly up then. I feel like the Xfinity series now has absolutely no identity...

I would love to see side view mirrors and a production looking body! What about actual doors on the car? Do we really still need to get into the car through the window?

KIA has the Stinger coupe which i think is a good fit with the other muscle cars. But they don't have a truck to support the truck series. Dodge has the RAM and Nissan has the Titan. But who knows what Kia has up it's sleeves going forward. Some new truck they want to promote? Also Honda would...

What the casual fan thinks of Nascar

"Other than Michigan you are pretty much stuck with 1.5 mile tri ovals that produce clone yawners." "Clone Yawners" This made me laugh. I'm stealing that one!

NASCAR 2019 - Bold Prediction Thread

Thought they would give the pole to McMurray like they gave it to others in the past, since it was his last race before retiring. Oh well. Better luck next year.

RACE thread --- Duels from Daytona

This is exactly why the new aero package will be a disaster because now we will have the big one at every cookie cutter. Teams will be ticked that they have torn up so many cars this year!

    Plate racing needs to go!

It's not the plate tracks, it's the aero package. I definitely agree that the plate racing has not been as exciting in the past couple of years as it has been prior to that. Not sure why that is, but I remember cars being able to get a run down the backstretch in order to setup and pass coming...

    NASCAR - Television Ratings Thread

I have always noticed that if iRacing's package is consistent with the Cup series, you can get a really good feel for how a race will play out. I remember when Chicago started wearing through tires pretty quickly, that some guys would manage their tires and stay out as long as they could while...

Interest builds around possible changes to NASCAR schedule

Oh count me in as one of the guys that loves to root against Kyle! That said, I respect his talents tremendously and would hate to see him leave. Nascar needs more guys like him not fewer.

Interest builds around possible changes to NASCAR schedule

Mosport would be a great fit but there are several other great options. I would also see if I could get the Pinty's drivers involved somehow.

Interest builds around possible changes to NASCAR schedule

I like the current length of the schedule, but understand why people want it shorter. My only suggestion would be to make sure that tracks with more than one date run two different formats, i.e. 400 miles with stages, and 500 without. NASCAR needs to get back to making each event unique rather...
