2013 Champion

I would like to see Kurt win it, but his pit crew would have to step their game up a little. But, I think Kyle or Matt have a little better chance... and you can never count Jimmie out.

Things are going to get very interesting during this chase as every car except the #78 has at least one or more teammates not in the running for the Cup.

The second Keselowski touches KyBu, Patrick brings out a caution which benefits Newman, Menard stays out to keep Kahne from leading a lap, Hamlin gets within 20 feet of Logano,Vickers races Earnhardt to hard, Stenhouse lets Edwards lead a lap, Truex punts Kenseth on a restart or Gordon blocks Biffle in his pitbox all hell is going to break loose. Not only with the fans but possibly on the track.

Okay, Patrick bringing out a caution isn't all that suspicious but I think my point stands ;)

I think Johnson, Bowyer, or Kenseth. When those guys havent had a bad race, its been a GREAT race for them. When they are on, theyre on.

I would most like to see Junior or Kurt win it, but I think it'll come down to Johnson and Kenseth. I see Kyle as a dark horse only because he historically has not performed well in the Chase, but if he can somehow get that monkey off his back, he'll be up there.

To be honest, I'm fairly excited about the Chase this year because I would have no problem seeing any of those 12 guys win it. All one of them has to do is put 10 good races together and grab a couple of wins along the way, and I think most of the guys that made it this year are capable of going on that kind of hot streak.

If Jimmie has just one bad race , it will really make it interesting.

1. Newman
2. Boyer
3. Jr
4. KYBU
5. Matt
6. Harvick
7. Joey
8. Kahne
9. Biffle
10. Edwards

This is why I am so easily pleased. :)

After Tony Stewart waved his magic wan and won the chase a couple of years ago, I quit trying to guess. Maybe one of those 12 has a magic wand this year.

Is there a crew chief being let go by one of the chase contenders?.....that may be your man

Excellent point.

After what happened at Richmond everything will be under a microscope during the 10 Chase races, especially at Chicago.

Could be, it seems that the last couple of years the Champion was in the stage of making a major change (crew chief, car manufacturer etc.). I think I might just have to go with Newman or Kurt Bush.

I think Matt and Kyle have the best chance - two horses from the same stable, I wonder what kind of teammates they are.

I remember a few years ago Kenseth letting teammates lead a lap before the chase but wouldn't after it started. I believe he justified it being saying that he could lose the cup by one point to anyone he lets lead a lap. I have little doubt that they'll race one another as hard as the rest but will it get rough - that's too close to call, for me anyway.

It's so cool that Jimmie isn't running away with the voting . That may change by Monday.:(

What a comeback that would be after last year . Same for Carl.
I think Kyle's ready. He seems pretty focused.

Carl? Yep, been there and had it in his grasp. He's gotta be hungry.

Personally, I'm rooting for the Earnhardt Jr. win but I've seen nothing to make me think that could happen.

I have complete confidence in LaTarte . He can get it done. A championship drive needs the breaks to go your way though.

I picked Kenseth at the first of the year, so I'm sticking with that.

they got to beat the 48 team, been that way all year long. what has changed? get Jimmy. somebody has to step up their game. Whoever can beat him at Chicago land has a good start.

Unless he beats himself.. like he seems to have had a nasty habit of doing not only in the last couple months but for the championship the past 2 years as well.

nasty habit?..your a joke dude. like I said whoever can beat him at Chicagoland has a good start. Let's go racin boys. Read the thread..names like Kenseth, Kyle, Boyer, Carl, and Jimmy are mentioned more than once. Those are the favorite legitimate drivers who have a shot at it.

I think he most likely are JJ, Kyle or Kenseth as most have said

Harvick could be somewhat of a "Dark Horse"....

Outside of those four, I don't see anyone else doing it this year...

Yeah good point, forgot about Harvick, he has a shot at it I think also. I wouldn't forget Carl, he finished high for the season.

Im a joke? Why because I state the obvious? LOL Moron... I have nothing more to say ur just a moron

Don't take him too seriously 22, I mean have you seen him in his dancing shoes?
I just find it funny... he doesn't think JJ has been beating himself... I am by no means a 48 fan quite the opposite in fact, but I know that he would probably have about 4 more wins and another championship if he and his team didn't beat themselves.

Ok slow down.

I don't want JJ winning this championship

Me either, trust me.. I think there are at least 4 drivers that have out performing him leading up to the chase. Matt, Kyle, Joey, Carl.. and even Harvick.. are all driver I think could finish ahead of the 48.
