2013 Preseason Thunder

I see that they are simulcasting the Speed coverage on nascar.com. Has nascar.com ever done that before? I remember seeing Race Buddy but not Speed's feed. Anyhow it seems to run fine off of the new site. Commence with the nascar.com bitching.

From Clint Bowyer's interview during the midday break.

Clint Bowyer on his feud with Jeff Gordon and running into his rival in St. Barthes "we held hands & walked on the beach"

@dennyhamlin: Back car gets a lot of air to it when drafting in tandem, which should lead to more pack racing vs. tandem.

The one change I like, is that these new cars don't look like they have a bent chassis when they are going down the straight away. Danica sure is running pretty good.

Kevin Harvick just compared his sons likeness to that of a spider monkey.

She's slaying it. That is if everybody else is trying as hard as she is.

I think Penske messed up and dropped in 6 cylinder eco-boost engines. They were slow as hell.

I'm really glad that Michael Waltrip is going to be able to run in the Daytona 500. I would love to see him win the 500 to replace the loss he had at Talladega.

From what I've seen with today's drafting, I'm happy. I'm sure y'all will disagree, but I like how spaced out the cars are. It seems they have more freedom to move around.

Too early to get too excited, though. Last year I got excited after testing (and the shootout), only to find myself watching single file crap in the 500.

btw,did you see the clear film on the rear bumper on the 20 car? whats up with that?

Clear spoilers are kinda fugly, though.

Just my quirk but for looks I like just a plain unpainted aluminum piece. It just looks like Cooter fabricated it Saturday morning for the weekend racing. Just crude nothing fancy beauty to inspire my windbagged-ness.

I just tuned into today's racing. The cars look awesome. It's a nice little fix to see them out there but I'm seriously Jones-ing.

Love the new cars. Going to take some getting used to seeing Kenseth not only in a Toy-Oater but in the 20 car.
