Four of the Top 10 finishers in last year's race started 17th or worse. Haven't even done any long run practice yet, so maybe they'll figure it out.

Yeah, saw that.

Only 7 laps on practice...on qual runs so the jury still out as far as how good or bad the car actually is.

I'm kinda surprised how the #3 team has fallen off. You don't even see him during most of the races. Either that or I'm just not paying close enough attention.

Back marker material, the guy couldnt manage a nationwide win last year but they expect him to do well in a cup car
 
I'm looking forward to a great day of racing full of surprises and if Danica can pull off a top 5 finish a lot of mouths will be shut. Smolder better get to figuring out how to win a race or two other wise he'll be left out of the chase.

Five bucks says that Smoke isn't performing up to snuff because of his leg. Also, I only asked that because I thought David Duchovny had taken up racing. Mulder = Smolder. :D
 
So, it looks like the 600 is when all the special paint schemes get run now. Can we just do away with the silly All Star Race?

Hope he doesnt need it. Would be the first race he's missed in his career. Wishing him well. Would be way too hard to watch 600 miles of a race without Gordon in it.
 
Gordon will at least start the race. Yes back spasms can be bad but I highly doubt he'll miss the race entirely. However it wouldn't hurt him that bad since he already has a win.

That's why you should always have a back up driver, or two to root for. I never put all my eggs in one basket.
 
or not have a number one at all. I loved Rusty but when he raced, I'd get so frustrated.. My roommate is the same way with Larson. I still root for guys but unless something stupid happens, I just try to enjoy the race.
 
Thats why having a driver on a team is great...you can cheer for the other drivers on the team...

If it means Regan gets another race with HMS then I don't mind. He's already in the Chase anyways, so missing a race won't do any harm while attempting 600 miles might. It might be best to just rest for the weekend,

Now hopefully this isn't something that becomes chronic and ruins his championship hopes.

No way. Not sure how people can root for more than one person.

If Gordon's out, I just root for something interesting to happen.

When Gordon retires, I'll probably go all in on Larson or Elliott.
