2016 Darlington - Bojangles' Southern 500 - Pre Race Thread

Happy Southern 500 day! I probably get a little more excited for Daytona because it comes after the off season, but no race I'd rather watch than this one..

Heh, forgot you were out west. You had me stressing for a second thinking the race started in less than 2 hours.
 
Does anyone know of a Darlington area bar that would be showing the truck race on TV that's cheap

I agree. Danica's previous Indy racing experience should give her an edge here at Darlington (where the corners are different)...She is a good "adapter" and I expect her to be in the top 10 most of the day-evening. She will need a break or two to get a win - but I wouldn't count her out.

The 10 and the 5 are coming to the line, beating and banging! This is going to be too close to call! It's the 10 by a nose!! Danica did it!! She passed Kasey on the last lap for 20th!!!

It would be awesome for the "Chase" if she pulled a win at Darlington (tomorrow's headline - Danica Patrick tames track too tough to tame! - kind of a Beauty and the Beast thing)...is Danica in the top 30?

This is becoming my favorite race of the year, cant wait for the green flag and then having Ken and Ned in the booth , oh yeah, its gonna be a good night of racing.
 
It is great to see an ALL AMERICAN tradition back where it is suppose to be at the first paved Super Speedway and then to add the throw back schemes and Ned in the booth, yeah, it is a great race event for sure.
 
Respectful and good rendition of the Anthem by the senior member of the Brady siblings.
 
Sanford and Son Salvage will handle any debris pickups this evening.
