2016 Pocono - Axalta "We Paint Winners" 400 - Pre Race Thread

Always assume the forecast is wrong and the forecaster is a maroon.

Infallible.
Charlotte is the first time I've been wrong. I've made the 'no go' call on four previous races, and between them I missed a total of 7 laps (Rockingham in '01). When I go wrong, I go big.

I just read that Biffle, kybu's and the dingers crew chiefs will be suspended for Pocono.

A list of last weeks penalties heading into Pocono.....

So..... Biffle's was the 'random' car that went to R&D this week to be torn down. Damn, the luck. :eek:

@bobpockrass

The 15-point penalty for Biffle drops him one spot to 24th in standings, now 79 points behind 16th.

Kyle Busch in an Xfinity race at Pocono, sounds exciting. :rolleyes:

I'm not a Pocono fan. Maybe this new package will change my mind.

Great! Thunderstorms at Pocono, we all remember what that can bring. They will be extra cautious I'm sure.
Maybe I'll just start changing my plans till Monday aye?

As of 0753 hours, the NWS is reporting light rain/fog at the Pocono Mountains Municipal Airport.

Not all that long ago the doom and gloom crowd predicted washouts at Talladega, Dover & Charlotte. Each of which went off without issue. It is what it is. /sarcasmon/ Besides, it just gives everyone another reason to b!tch @ NASCAR about..... I mean heck, they know it's gonna rain on Sunday..... Why not move the race to Saturday or better yet..... Break out the rain tires for that Tricky Triangle. That would be a lot of fun to watch. /sarcasmoff/

Here's a story from today's Allentown Morning Call.

http://www.mcall.com/sports/motorracing/mc-pocono-nascar-preview-0602-20160602-story.html

I'm interested to see what this is all about:

"We've got a lot of new things, including a new traffic plan that we feel will alleviate the time it takes to come into the track before the race, and especially, the time it takes to get out after the race," Nick Igdalsky, the track's executive vice president, said last week. "We're eager to see what the results are."
