Bout time for a good Richmond race. If there's a track that been in a serious excitement drought it's this one.
Wasn't a fan of the spring race
I agree as Richmond used to be must see TV but the last few races have not been great, IMO, so hopefully this one will start a trend back to them being good again.
The most refreshing thing this year: There isn't likely to be much Chase drama, so perhaps the commentators will actually focus on the race. I've come to dislike Fall Richmond because of the constant barrage of 'points as they run', 'if the race ended now' etc all for drivers who have an almost 0 shot of actually winning the championship.
My main programming today will be hockey and football and it may be tomorrow morning before I either get the race or finish it up. Either way once I start hearing the points as they run BS or the cut line crap the mute button gets hit hard.
Kind of interesting, out of all the 2005 Chase drivers , three are no longer racing, Mark Martin ,Jeremy Mayfield and Rusty, so going forward 10 years, I wonder how many drivers from the 2016 Chase will still be driving in 2016
In 10 years if the cars fire up for the chase and no one is watching will they still make a sound?
