That would be awesome! Are you just kidding or for reals? Coz me and @BobbyFord will obviously be at Vegas and Fontana but I may squeeze in Phoenix with little persuation.
At least there's very little chance of those three getting rained out.

My brother & I used to go to this race all the time before I got married. This one was one of the most memorable ones for all the wrong reasons. We were sitting at the bottom of the hill, turn #2, leading up into the esses. We only had a view of the cars going down into turn #1 then head on, down the hill towards us in turn #2, finally up through the esses on to the back stretch. While we didn't have a view of the tragedy that unfolded at the end of the backstretch that day, we listened to it on our FM headsets. This was the day we lost JD McDuffie. His death that year brought about the 'bus stop' at the end of the backstretch that is there today. I believe he was also the last driver that was killed during a Cup race until the day we lost Dale Earnhardt.
Only camped there once by the inner loop and I liked it but this was 10 years ago so I may not be the best to ask. The crowds start rolling in tues/wed and it was somewhat of a find your own space Rv or not.Do you camp there? I need some good info on camping @ the track.
That is a beautiful area up there.Only camped there once by the inner loop and I liked it but this was 10 years ago so I may not be the best to ask. The crowds start rolling in tues/wed and it was somewhat of a find your own space Rv or not.
We stay right on Seneca lake about 10 minutes from the track which I also highly recommend.
I have no hope for anyone who thinks that NASCAR is bigger worldwide than the Olympics.Remember, the Olympics start on Friday. The race will not be televised on the normal networks.
For those of you that may get lost this weekend.....
SUNDAY, AUG. 7:
ON TRACK
-- 2:30 p.m.: NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Cheez-It 355 at The Glen (90 laps, 220.5 miles), USA Network (Follow live)
Commence with the b!tching.
Well there are going to be those that find it very frustrating that they will now have to learn where the USA Network is on their television dial, err, channel lineup. Then, there will be those that will be upset that it will be going out to a limited audience.I have no hope for anyone who thinks that NASCAR is bigger worldwide than the Olympics.

Yep. I was gonna let you guy's know when we know for sure. Gotta go check ya'll out. That would be awesome!

's okay, I'm still sporting a '03 Ford at a decommissioned track.I'm still easing into this whole Toyota thing!
Oh, hell, even I don't think that. I have no use for the Olympics at all, but I realize that's just me. Networks give priority to what they think will draw the most viewers / sell the most advertising / make the most money. I have no hope for anyone who doesn't understand that.I have no hope for anyone who thinks that NASCAR is bigger worldwide than the Olympics.
I may have asked this before, but are you using the wired or wireless Hoppers? If the wireless ones, how do you like them? What kind of range do they have? Any streaming / buffering issues? I'm reasonably happy with Dish's service, but I'm thinking of upgrading my hardware.... For me, it's not a huge deal. With Dish Network's Hopper 3 system, I can divide my screen up into four sections. Each of those can broadcast a different channel. I'll be multitasking, err, viewing.
"You're a funny guy. I like you. That's why I'm going to kill you last."So Gordon is in the 88 thru Bristol. Give the man a waiver!
My setup is a 4K Hopper 3 with three wireless Joey's. The Hopper 3 has a router type of box used for the Joey's. I have not tried the wireless Joey any further than about 50' from that box. I do move one of them in and out of our house by the pool, patio or hot tub and they work great. Full HD too.I may have asked this before, but are you using the wired or wireless Hoppers? That's plenty of good info. I'll probably put the Hopper on the bedroom set that will never be moved, and a Joey on each of the living room and garage TVs. We rearrange the LR a lot, and I want to take the garage set out on the deck when weather permits. Both are less than 50' from the bedroom. My setup is a 4K Hopper 3 with three wireless Joey's. No buffering issues or any other issues. They work exactly like the base unit.
Just for upgrade info only. I have an additional 4K Joey. It did not come in a wireless version when i upgraded. They may now.
Feel free to pm me any questions you have.

You shouldn't have a problem with that layout. Keep in mind that the Hopper has to be sitting in a location where it is wired directly to the dish. That's plenty of good info. And of course I'm expecting @DUN24 to be at Fontana so it will be awesome!Yep. I was gonna let you guy's know when we know for sure. Gotta go check ya'll out.

If the wife and I get to go we need to talk @dpkimmel2001 and the Missus into making the western swing also.Absolutely. I'd maybe consider PHX too.
You know I'd love to do it but we are stretched to the max right now. One day perhaps. I still have some southern tracks on my bucket list before heading west.If the wife and I get to go we need to talk @dpkimmel2001 and the Missus into making the western swing also.
Interesting read. Not only do crew chiefs plan the race backwards, the pit crews have to do everything backwards as well:

One of the top 10 all time finishes.
Yeah, that's one of Evernham's Dodges in the center.Nice up-to-date background image.
