You can hike over to Johnson's pit and ask him when is he going to flip the switch? We at R-F are waiting.

Looks like it's about 20 minutes northwest of town. The trail map shows several routes, most of them rated moderate or difficult.

You left my favorite place off of here ... Jerry's Pizza, which is next to the go-kart track. Clarence's Steakhouse, never been there, but they've been longtime supporters of the sport.

I had no idea they removed those seats on top of the suites (from where your pic was taken) as well as some of the rows atop of the Bill France Tower (turn 3-4) until I looked up tickets. I'm in the Bill France Tower near the exit of turn 4.

I have a feeling the 48 team will go on a tear late in the season. They're getting better, and executed a great race at Fontana. They just need more speed. Doesn't matter how good the 4, 78 or 18 are, if the 48 keeps up with them on speed, they're gonna start winning..just like in 2016.

That said, team has a ways to go.

12 car has a bit of work to do too.

I have a feeling the 4 and 10 will be strong this weekend. Larson will struggle, Brad and the 18 will be good too

Our seats got moved too. We sat in that location for a long, long time. Upset that they made the decision to do that.
